The director David Helling has done a good job of depicting one of the most compelling experiences of Christ, before his ministry on earth began. Should that humankind be so discerning as to resist the temptations of the world. The acting is better than good and Daniel da Silva is an actor to keep an eye on for such Biblical depictions. While the dialogue has been made to "advance the narrative" of the story, visually and Biblically this short film is true to the Gospels of Matthew and Luke. Telling Bible stories can never be an easy task as humans are only too fallible to deign such grand knowledge.

Familiar, for Christians, episode before the ministry, the temptations on Messiah are real well interpreted by. David Helling in their mix of tension, weakness of Devil, streight of Savior and a dialogue who seems too innovative but it is only reflection of Biblical text.
The poetry of the films of David Helling as main virtue of film, like the inspired acting.
