Although announced on the back of the success of Hate Story 3, director Vishal Pandya and producer Bhusan Kumar, took a break from the Hate Story series to make a new erotic thriller, Wajah Tum Ho (2016). Following the release of that film, they returned to work on this film.
Hate Story is the third series in Bollywood history to have a 4th installment. The other two being the Raaz, and Golmaal.
In all of the posters for the brand "Señorita" the diacritic mark tilde ~ is incorrectly over the "o" rather than the "ñ".
