The Bear has become one of the biggest hits on streaming, and there are more shows like it for fans to check out!
Since its debut in 2022, The Bear has erupted in popularity. The tale of Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) trying to turn his family diner into a fine restaurant has been hailed for both its amazing writing and acting as well as nailing the restaurant experience. Fans can’t get enough of the frenzy of the kitchen and just how much happens that diners don’t know about.
There are several shows with the same sort of complex personal dynamics. Yet others are notable for also taking on a restaurant setting and using it as the backdrop for some great drama. There are also some earlier shows by The Bear creator and stars that clearly influenced the series. So while you wait for The Bear Season 4, these ten shows...

Following Schwimmer’s casting, Disney+ announced that Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Love Victor), Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me), Jayden Bartels (Side Hustle), Elijah Cooper (That Girl Lay Lay), Galilea La Salvia (Party Down) and Francesca Noel have also joined the series.
The season two logline reads, “Teenage siblings discover a threat stirring, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, the duo find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”

When “Unholy” reached Number One in the U.S. and more than a dozen other countries, Kim Petras’ life changed overnight. The success of the song, which she recorded with Sam Smith, led her to travel more to make appearances, and suddenly, “there were more eyeballs on me than ever before,” she told Cosmopolitan U.K. The sudden success “felt exposing and scary,” she said. So she turned to a therapist for help.

The cast of Friends used collective bargaining to level out their salaries. As an ensemble cast, they wanted to be treated as equals as their wages grew from $22K per episode to $1M. Each cast member of Friends earned around $90 million in base salary alone from the show before the addition of any backend bonuses and ongoing royalties from syndication, racking each actor up an impressive net worth. For 10 seasons, the Friends cast was considered the gold standard of sitcom television, but where do they stand financially today? Here is the net worth of the Friends cast ranked from richest to poorest.

Kim Petras stans, it’s finally here. On Monday, the singer surprise-released her originally-scrapped, partially-leaked album, Problématique.
The 10-track LP features songs such as “Born Again,” “Something About U,” “Dirty Things,” and “All She Wants” featuring Paris Hilton. All of the songs are co-produced by Dr. Luke, Aaron Joseph, and Vaughn Oliver.
“It was shocking when I found out part of the album leaked — at the time — that it wasn’t ever going to come out, especially as I poured so much of myself into it,” Petras said in a statement via the Associated Press.

Kim Petras has unearthed her scrapped debut album, Problematique, out now via Republic Records and Amigo Records. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.
Several tracks from Problematique leaked online last year after Petras appeared to confirm that the album had been scrapped. The released version includes the song “All She Wants” featuring Paris Hilton, whom Petras joined on a new version of “Stars Are Blind” this past June. Other highlights include “Treat Me Like a Ho,” “Born Again,” and the title track.
At the time of the leak, the pop singer told fans her music was in “limbo,” but she has since bounced back in a major way. Her single “Unholy” with Sam Smith topped the Billboard Hot 100, making her the first publicly transgender artist to reach No. 1 on the chart as Smith simultaneously became the first openly non-binary artist to do the same. In June, Petras released her proper debut studio album,...

Who better than Kim Petras to uplift Sofía Reyes and Danna Paola’s goal of making Mexican pop global? On Thursday, the trio of pop stars released a remix of “Tqum,” or “Te Quiero un Montón,” which is Petras’ favorite song of the summer.

Kim Petras spoke about finding and celebrating community as a way of dealing with the deluge of hate directed at trans people in a new interview on Call Her Daddy. “It’s such a beautiful, beautiful community and that’s one thing that I just like want people to know: The dolls have each other’s backs,” she said.

In 2022, Kim Petras faced something every artist dreads: a series of leaks that left her album in jeopardy. "I'm devastated idk how all of this happened and I just wanna quit," Petras tweeted at the time, Billboard reported. Nearly a year later, "Feed the Beast" is here. Petras's first major-label album was released on June 23. That same week, she announced a 34-date world tour to promote the album, starting this fall.
"It's really like three albums combined," Petras told Popsugar in a June interview while discussing her partnership with the Motorola Razr+. "Someone leaked [my previous album], so that was annoying." From the ashes came inspiration, though. Petras's A&r representative helped her move through the "annoying" situation, she recounted, advising her, "'You gotta go feed the beast and make more music. Do what you do best.' And that's exactly what I did."

Before German pop singer Kim Petras had even released a studio album she made music history. “Unholy,” her duet with Sam Smith, made her the first openly trans woman to top the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart, and then it made her the first trans woman to win a pop Grammy. Now she’s out with her first ever full-length studio release, “Feed the Beast,” which dropped on June 23. Does it live up to her already historic track record?

It has taken Kim Petras 15 years to get a debut album out. In the interim, the German singer —songwriter’s steady rise has made her one to watch among pop artists: Her “Era 1” singles, released from 2017 to 2019, were a cool homage to fizzy 2000s bubblegum, and her pair of Halloween-themed mixtapes were edgy, spooky fun. Earlier this year, Petras became the first trans artist to have a Number One hit, with her Sam Smith collaboration “Unholy.”
But the journey to Feed the Beast hasn’t been all Champagne and glitter.

The wait is over: Kim Petras has released her debut studio album, Feed the Beast. Stream it via Apple Music or Spotify below.
The album features several of Petras’ recent singles, including “Alone” featuring Nicki Minaj (which sampled Alice DeeJay’s “Better Off Alone”), January’s “brrr,” and her history-making Sam Smith duet “Unholy.” Banks also makes an appearance on “Bait.”
Petras announced the release on social media with a noir photo of a medieval-looking sword propped up against a large stone: “The story begins,” she wrote along with the post. Although the German singer has shared one full-length mixtape and a couple of compilation albums, this will mark her first-ever proper LP.
Feed the Beast follows Petras’ 2022 EP Slut Pop, and she’s set to perform at Osheaga Music Festival in Montreal this August ahead of her 34-date world tour. Tickets for all of her upcoming shows are available here.

Singer-songwriter Kim Petras has revealed the encouraging words that Madonna shared with her before her historic performance at the Grammys in February. At the award show, Madonna introduced Petras and Sam Smith, who sang their deliciously deviant hit ‘Unholy’, reports ‘People’ magazine.

“After her speech, she turned around and mouthed to me, ‘Go get it, bitch.’ That made me feel like, I got this.”

“Everything I drop is a banger,” Kim Petras declares on “Uhoh,” a filter house-influenced track from her long-awaited debut studio album, Feed the Beast. And, for the most part, she delivers on that promise. From the verse to the pre-chorus to the instrumental drop and chopped-up vocal bridge, the song—which was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, the knob-twirler behind Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”—is stacked with hooks.
Much of the rest of Feed the Beast follows suit, including the Dr. Luke-helmed “Revelations,” which channels ’80s post-disco, complete with squelchy electric guitar solo, and the breezy “Coconuts,” a cheeky, pun-filled ode to Petras’s “margari-tatas.” Elsewhere, lead single “Alone” is built around a sample of Alice Deejay’s infectious “Better Off Alone,” though it leans too heavily on that late-’90s club hit’s synth hook to make much of a distinct impression of its own.

It's been five years since Kim Petras asked for all of our attention in her debut single "I Don't Want It At All." With a Grammy to her name, a charting new collab with Nicki Minaj, and her first major-label album on the horizon, it's safe to say the world is tuned in to the German pop star.
"I still go into sessions thinking I suck and I won't come up with anything," Petras admits while chatting with Popsugar on June 1 at the launch event for the third-generation of the Motorola razr+ in Brooklyn. "I feel like that's what keeps me going. I wanna make music forever. I feel like it's my calling."
Petras's early success came through, largely, the queer community. It was gay clubs, she says, that helped her learn "about music, about friendship, about love, about anything from my community." Gay clubs...

Happy Pride, everyone! Paris Hilton and Kim Petras have come together to maximize their joint slay by re-recording Paris’ iconic 2006 song “Stars Are Blind.” Listen to the new version of the track below.
As expected for Paris — her musical career has been based more on vibes than artistic innovation — “Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)” doesn’t so much revamp the original than add a verse from Petras to the track (in addition to adding a ton of reverb to Hilton’s vocals). Still, Petras’ contribution is enough to keep the revamp afloat. “I can be your confidant,” the German artist sings, before adding, “Out of everybody in the galaxy, you’re the only one I really want with me.”
On June 7th, Hilton is due to perform at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles (grab tickets here). Soon after, on June 23rd, Petras will release her long-awaited debut full-length Feed the Beast,...

Sliving for this moment! Seventeen years after changing gay clubs forever with the release of “Stars Are Blind,” Paris Hilton is revisiting her club banger, dropping a new “Paris’ Version” of the track featuring her good friend Kim Petras.
The track opens with Hilton’s vocals over a refreshed version of the song’s original beat, before Petras joins in for a new verse. “Baby baby, I can be your confidante/Come on over if you’re down or not,” Petras sings, later adding, “Why shouldn’t we be with the ones we really love?...

Nita Strauss, who recently rejoined Alice Cooper’s band as lead guitarist, has announced a new solo album. The set, titled The Call of the Void, will drop on July 7th via Sumerian Records.
Strauss explained of the album’s new title in a press release, “Have you ever been at the top of a high building and had the fleeting thought, ‘I could jump right now?’ This feeling is sometimes called ‘The Call of the Void,’ also known as ‘high place phenomenon.’ It’s not a suicidal impulse, rather the exact opposite — a subconscious decision to live your life, to step back from the ledge, and take control. As researcher April Smith aptly put it: ‘An urge to jump affirms the urge to live.'”

“Dexter” is coming back; Showtime announced on Wednesday that a new 10-episode limited series based on the eight-season crime drama is set to begin production in early 2021 and will reunite original series star Michael C. Hall and showrunner Clyde Phillips.
Showtime did not offer any plot details or other casting information for the series and it is unclear if it will take place after the events of the controversial series finale that aired in 2013.
The original eight-season run of “Dexter” premiered in the fall of 2006 and starred Hall as Dexter Morgan, a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department who moonlights as a serial killer.
Though the early seasons of “Dexter” enjoyed widespread critical acclaim — the show earned four Emmys, including a 2010 win for Outstanding Directing For A Drama Series — reviewers cooled on the show as time went on. Critical reception of the latter seasons were decidedly...

“Dexter” and “Nurse Jackie” producer Clyde Phillips has signed an overall deal with Showtime and CBS Television Studios.
As part of the deal, Phillips will develop projects for both entities that can air on platforms within or outside the ViacomCBS fold. The deal was jointly announced by Showtime president of entertainment Gary Levine and CBS Television Studios president David Stapf.
“Securing the talents of a gifted writer/producer/showrunner like Clyde is a huge bonus for the Studio,” said Stapf in a statement. “There are few creators out there that have successfully crossed so many genres, and we’re fortunate to have him join our team. I’m looking forward to discovering where his fertile imagination goes next.”

Clyde Phillips is getting back in business with Showtime. The former Dexter and Nurse Jackie showrunner has signed a joint overall deal with the premium cable network and CBS Television Studios. Under the pact, Phillips will develop projects for both entities that can air on platforms within or outside the ViacomCBS umbrella.
This marks the first joint overall deal for siblings Showtime and CBS TV Studios, both overseen by David Nevins, which have increased their creative collaborations over the past couple of years. The pact will also likely provide fuel for the never-ending speculation about a potential Dexter follow-up at Showtime.
“Clyde is a world-class showrunner and filmmaker who brings intelligence, depth, maturity and style to both drama and comedy series,” said Gary Levine, President of Entertainment, Showtime Networks. “Our many collaborations in the past have been deeply gratifying, and I am thrilled that we will be working together again.

Kim Fupz Aakeson, writer of Liam Neeson feature Cold Pursuit, has created a quirky Norwegian comedy for HBO Europe. The premium broadcaster has commissioned eight-part series Utmark/Wilderness, which will be directed by Dagur Kári, director of Paul Dano’s The Good Heart.
Aakeson is also behind AMC’s David Schwimmer drama Feed The Beast, which was based on his Danish series Bankerot. It is produced by Finn Gjerdrum and Stein Kvae at Paradox.
Utmark/Wilderness is a quirky comedy drama set in a small Norwegian town a little north of the middle of nowhere. A sheep lies savaged. A dog runs free. A wife leaves her husband. So begins a chain of revenge that entangles a whole town. Corrupt sheriff, alcoholic shepherd, nature-loving bootlegger, God-hating pastor, grieving pimp…everyone knows everyone in this secluded corner of the Nordic North. Now an optimistic new school teacher rolls in, hopeful for a fresh start.
