The second season of Goosebumps at Disney+ has cast David Schwimmer in a lead role.

The Emmy-nominated Friends star will head the cast of the show, based on R.L. Stine’s hugely popular series of books. Disney+ renewed Goosebumps for a second season in February, opting to turn the show into an anthology rather than continuing the story from season one.

Following Schwimmer’s casting, Disney+ announced that Ana Ortiz (Ugly Betty, Love Victor), Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me), Jayden Bartels (Side Hustle), Elijah Cooper (That Girl Lay Lay), Galilea La Salvia (Party Down) and Francesca Noel have also joined the series.

Kim Petras stans, it’s finally here. On Monday, the singer surprise-released her originally-scrapped, partially-leaked album, Problématique.

The 10-track LP features songs such as “Born Again,” “Something About U,” “Dirty Things,” and “All She Wants” featuring Paris Hilton. All of the songs are co-produced by Dr. Luke, Aaron Joseph, and Vaughn Oliver.

“It was shocking when I found out part of the album leaked — at the time — that it wasn’t ever going to come out, especially as I poured so much of myself into it,” Petras said in a statement via the Associated Press.

It has taken Kim Petras 15 years to get a debut album out. In the interim, the German singer —songwriter’s steady rise has made her one to watch among pop artists: Her “Era 1” singles, released from 2017 to 2019, were a cool homage to fizzy 2000s bubblegum, and her pair of Halloween-themed mixtapes were edgy, spooky fun. Earlier this year, Petras became the first trans artist to have a Number One hit, with her Sam Smith collaboration “Unholy.”

But the journey to Feed the Beast hasn’t been all Champagne and glitter.

Singer-songwriter Kim Petras has revealed the encouraging words that Madonna shared with her before her historic performance at the Grammys in February. At the award show, Madonna introduced Petras and Sam Smith, who sang their deliciously deviant hit ‘Unholy’, reports ‘People’ magazine.

“I was so nervous. I was freaking out,” says Petras, 30, whose major-label debut album, Feed the Beast, drops Friday.

“After her speech, she turned around and mouthed to me, ‘Go get it, bitch.’ That made me feel like, I got this.”

As per ‘People’, after the show, Madonna took to Instagram to reveal why it was important for her to support the pair: “It was an honour for me to introduce Kim Petras and Sam Smith at the Grammys. I wanted to give the last award which was album of the year, but I thought it was more important that I present the first trans- woman performing at...

“Everything I drop is a banger,” Kim Petras declares on “Uhoh,” a filter house-influenced track from her long-awaited debut studio album, Feed the Beast. And, for the most part, she delivers on that promise. From the verse to the pre-chorus to the instrumental drop and chopped-up vocal bridge, the song—which was produced by Ian Kirkpatrick, the knob-twirler behind Dua Lipa’s “Don’t Start Now”—is stacked with hooks.

Much of the rest of Feed the Beast follows suit, including the Dr. Luke-helmed “Revelations,” which channels ’80s post-disco, complete with squelchy electric guitar solo, and the breezy “Coconuts,” a cheeky, pun-filled ode to Petras’s “margari-tatas.” Elsewhere, lead single “Alone” is built around a sample of Alice Deejay’s infectious “Better Off Alone,” though it leans too heavily on that late-’90s club hit’s synth hook to make much of a distinct impression of its own.

Kim Petras has announced a world tour in support of her album Feed the Beast. The pop star’s debut full-length album will be released on Friday.

Petras’ 34-date trek will kick off in the Americas this August with a few previously scheduled radio shows and festival appearances. The North and South American leg will wrap in November, then Petras will resume the tour in UK and Europe in February.

Though Petras has released many successful EPs and mixtapes, Feed the Beast is the long-rising pop star’s first official album.

Kim Petras has announced a North American and UK/EU tour for fall and winter. Sharing its name with her soon-to-be-released debut album, the “Feed the Beast World Tour” will see Petras playing 34 dates between late September 2023 and early March 2024.

The first leg kicks off September 27th in Austin, Texas at the iconic Moody Amphitheater. Petras will hit just about every major US and Canadian market throughout ’23 — including Boston, Orlando, Chicago, Toronto, Seattle, Vancouver, Portland, Denver, and San Francisco — before wrapping November 22nd in San Diego, California.

Petras will then head out for a UK/EU stretch on February 13th, starting in Birmingham, UK, and making stops in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Berlin, and Munich ahead of a final show March 3rd in Milan, Italy. Find the complete itinerary ahead.

As expected for Paris — her musical career has been based more on vibes than artistic innovation — “Stars Are Blind (Paris’ Version)” doesn’t so much revamp the original than add a verse from Petras to the track (in addition to adding a ton of reverb to Hilton’s vocals). Exclusive: Babak Tafti (Succession) and Mousa Hussein Kraish (American Gods) are set for lead roles opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Kyle Chandler in the first installment of Super Pumped, Showtime’s anthology series from Billions co-creators Brian Koppelman and David Levien. The installment, which is based on Mike Isaac’s bestselling book Super Pumped: The Battle for Uber, tells the story of the ride-sharing company that stands out as both a marvel and a cautionary tale, featuring internal and external battles that ripple with unpredictable consequences.

Pivoting on Travis Kalanick (Gordon-Levitt), Uber’s hard-charging CEO who ultimately was ousted in a boardroom coup, the series will depict the roller-coaster ride of the upstart transportation company, embodying the highs and lows of Silicon Valley.

Tafti will play Emil Michael, who is Uber’s dealmaker-in-chief and right-hand man to Kalanick.

Kraish will portray Fawzi Kamel, the Uber driver whose interaction with Kalanick went viral.

“Dexter” is coming back; Showtime announced on Wednesday that a new 10-episode limited series based on the eight-season crime drama is set to begin production in early 2021 and will reunite original series star Michael C. Hall and showrunner Clyde Phillips.

Showtime did not offer any plot details or other casting information for the series and it is unclear if it will take place after the events of the controversial series finale that aired in 2013.

The original eight-season run of “Dexter” premiered in the fall of 2006 and starred Hall as Dexter Morgan, a complicated and conflicted blood-spatter expert for the Miami police department who moonlights as a serial killer.

“Dexter” and “Nurse Jackie” producer Clyde Phillips has signed an overall deal with Showtime and CBS Television Studios.

As part of the deal, Phillips will develop projects for both entities that can air on platforms within or outside the ViacomCBS fold. The deal was jointly announced by Showtime president of entertainment Gary Levine and CBS Television Studios president David Stapf.

“Securing the talents of a gifted writer/producer/showrunner like Clyde is a huge bonus for the Studio,” said Stapf in a statement. “There are few creators out there that have successfully crossed so many genres, and we’re fortunate to have him join our team. I’m looking forward to discovering where his fertile imagination goes next.”

Kim Fupz Aakeson, writer of Liam Neeson feature Cold Pursuit, has created a quirky Norwegian comedy for HBO Europe. The premium broadcaster has commissioned eight-part series Utmark/Wilderness, which will be directed by Dagur Kári, director of Paul Dano’s The Good Heart.

Aakeson is also behind AMC’s David Schwimmer drama Feed The Beast, which was based on his Danish series Bankerot. It is produced by Finn Gjerdrum and Stein Kvae at Paradox.
