"Chasing" is an action comedy that starts on an unsure foot but ends up being quite enjoyable, even if an unnecessary coda at the end makes the last fifteen minutes feel empty.
We have a cop who is trying to put behind bars the CEO of a company. They know each other for a while and have a relationship of love- hate. One night, the CEO is walking home when he gets entangled with four young punks who steal his phone. The cop appears, but instead of getting the phone back, his gun is stolen by the group of teenagers too.
From that moment the two old men team up to recover their items, while the four young men just try to take advantage of the situation. The movie keeps throwing scenario after scenario, with a couple of very funny set ups. Unfortunately, the chase ends up being a little bit too long, in part because the group of young men are underdeveloped. However, the humor is there, the pace is high, and the action is well directed. And on top of that, we get a couple of very funny old men that do their best to keep the viewer's attention engaged on what happens on screen.
Not ground-breaking, but enjoyable.
