It's the start of spring. Sid is opening an egg-sitting business. Manny and Diego are not impressed. Surprisingly, it becomes a success. Pirate bunny Squint wants revenge after the boys sank his ship during Continental Drift. While Sid is sleeping, Squint steals all the eggs. This becomes the world's first egg hunt as Manny promises to retrieve them with help from Squint's brother Clint.
I like Continental Drift but this one falls back a little bit. The drama needs to be higher. There is nothing wrong but it's not great either. The stakes are not that high when the eggs don't belong to the main cast.

In Ice Age: The Great Egg-Scapade harried prehistoric bird mom Ethel (Taraji P. Henson, EMPIRE) entrusts her precious, soon-to-hatch egg to Sid (John Leguizamo). When she recommends him to her neighbors – a condor mom (Wendy Williams), Cholly Bear (Gabriel Iglesias) and Gladys Glypto (Lili Estefan) – business booms at his new egg-sitting service. However, dastardly pirate bunny Squint (Seth Green, FAMILY GUY), who is seeking revenge on the ICE AGE gang, steals, camouflages and hides all the eggs. Once again, with Squint's twin brother, Clint (Blake Anderson), assisting, Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary) and the rest of the gang come to the rescue and take off on a daring mission that turns into the world's first Easter egg hunt.

This twenty-minute "Ice Age" movie is just using the opportunity of holidays to get a few more dollars based on its former glory. Although the idea is not bad, the cartoon is totally uninteresting. However, with a good screenwriter, the story has the potential to develop into a quality full-length film.

Good for a quick watch with your kid but don't get comfortable. My 5 year old daughter liked it though. Seems like a lot of the same cast from the previous movies.
