Great movie. All Christians should see. Prayers & believing are important but no one understands why bad things happen to good people. No one understands God's plan but we must endure and follow His rules so we can see Him in Heaven. LOVED IT. James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 3/17/2021
Honestly, we watch a lot of movies. And we loved to be inspired to hope at the end of them, but this movie, as GOOD as the acting was (the best Christian acting i've ever seen), did not help us or inspire us to hope. Do not watch if you are facing an illness of your own, especially cancer and do not watch if you believe in miracles. I won't go into great details but we believe in miracles, we believe in God's healing power, but this movie never once mentioned Jesus. It did quote scripture, it does talk about God, but at the end, it feels more like a lesson in grief than it does a lesson in belief.

A beautiful and inspiring movie. I somewhat in someway have inclined towards our maker. A good way to start a new year with God at the beginning.

Excellent portrayal of the amazingly good and extraordinarily hard things of this life.
The Reason wasn't ashamed to go to hard places... and if you've lived long enough to read this review I'd guess you've had perplexing circumstances and seen bad things seem to happen to good people.
Cast was superb. I so appreciated that this movie portrayed hope yet did so without going to the unrealistic places that some dramas do. Tackled the age old question "where is God when...?" with sensitivity in a compelling way that rang true. It also avoided the extreme and false premises of either a perspective that no miracles exist or a perspective that if we but ask (or claim) in the right way we always get everything we wish for in this life.
Lots of great lines. If you like me read reviews before watching a movie and are on the fence about this one, just watch it!

Without a doubt, Louis Gossett Jr.'s BEST movie ever. Everyone did such a great job. Thank you for showing the beauty that is God's Love...... even when we don't get what we want.
"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39.
