I have the wonderful fortune to be able to call Tom Goss friend! Although he has been so much more to me than that, he seems to have a sixth sense and know when I'm at my worst and my days they're darkest! He always manages to brighten my day without me even saying a word. This video is an example of what all young people go through! So many people say it's a choice that we are an abomination. Why would anybody choose to exist where you're going to be constantly told that there's something wrong with you? That you're a lesser person? That you need to be healed? Videos like this are examples of how things have changed and how they will continue to change for the better! There was a time in my life where you could be fired from a job for being gay. I know I've had it happened to me. How religion can turn its back on you. I know I've had it happen to me. Just how painful society can be to a person because they're different. I know it's happened to me. Not only does this video show in true fashion, the struggles of the youth of this planet but it shows just how much pain these words of hate and bigotry can lead you to want to take drastic measures! I know Tom well. I know that he has had his own struggles with religion and with acceptance of who he is! Let me tell you who Tom Goss is. He's a brilliant singer-songwriter with a heart that stretches far beyond what anyone could imagine. Not only does this video bring to light all of the things that I have mentioned, but it also has raised money and continues to raise money for one of the most important charities out there! The Trevor Project! I can't even fathom how many lives The Trevor Project has saved and how many lives this video may have saved on its own! I imagine if there's a young gay person out there that was struggling with who they are and they find this video as their scrolling through YouTube that it might help them in more ways than we could ever imagine.

The music is the lead virtue of this short film. And the cinematography. But the clash between love and religion, the triumph of good cause are far to be more than cliches. Sure, good try, good intentions, few beautiful scenes, you feel the tension and drama and bitterness.. But, maybe, not exactly enough. But , sure, as pledge for a cause, it well works. Because , in essence, it is just a manifesto.
