Actor Ed Westwick is going to be a dad! The actor, best known for portraying the role of Chuck Bass on the TV series Gossip Girl, and his wife Amy Jackson, a fellow actor, are expecting their first baby together. The news comes two months after the couple tied the knot.
In a joint Instagram post, the couple shared images from a photoshoot where Amy wore a fitted white gown that hugged her growing baby bump. Ed was dressed in a more casual outfit, wearing a simple white t-shirt tucked into a pair of black jeans. The couple didn’t add a caption to their post and didn’t reveal further details about their little one, including their sex or Amy’s due date.

Escape
Independent film director Howard Ford's next two feature films, Escape and Dark Game, revolve around characters in captivity. In Escape, written and directed by Ford, ten women fight back in the desert against the traffickers that have kidnapped them. Meanwhile, DarkGame, written by Tom George, Gary Grant and Niall Johnson, centres on a game show on the dark web, where the participants are captives forced to play for their lives.
Ford is drawn to characters facing adversity, whether it be a climber stranded on a mountain fending off a group of killers above her in The Ledge or a mother on vacation in Never Let Go, who goes renegade to rescue her abducted son. Escape and Dark Game are a natural expansion of his violent cinematic universe, built around survival.
I first met Ford in-person at FrightFest 2013, when The Dead 2: India, which he co-directed...

Amy Jackson and Ed Westwick have shared a breathtaking glimpse of their fairytale wedding through a stunning video, just days after their romantic ceremony in Italy. The video, which feels straight out of Ed’s iconic show Gossip Girl, where he portrayed the suave Chuck Bass, has captivated fans with its elegance and charm.
The wedding video begins with a beautiful shot of Amy’s long, flowing white veil as she gazes out from a castle window. The couple chose the picturesque Castello di Rocca Cilento, a 16th-century castle-turned-hotel in Southern Italy, as their wedding venue. A sweeping aerial view of the location reveals the castle adorned with blooming white flowers, setting a serene and enchanting atmosphere for the special day.
Amy and Ed coordinated in matching white outfits, with Amy looking radiant in a classic white gown and Ed exuding charm in a white suit. Her four-year-old son, Andreas,...

In my latest video review, I sit down to review the latest film from The Dead director Howard J Ford, Dark Game, which stars Ed Westwick, Andrew P Stephen and Natalya Tsvetkova. After having reviewed a few of Ford’s movies to date It is always good to see what he’s is up to. But what’s the verdict?
A determined detective is in a race against time to stop a twisted game show on the dark web, where captives are forced to compete for their lives.
Also, check out our written review of Dark Game right here.

Escape opens with a massive burst of adrenaline. A woman running for her life across a desert landscape trips and impales herself on a sun-bleached piece of wood. Her pursuer leaves her for dead because, as he tells his boss, “She’s too damaged. Even if she lives, she’d never sell.” He should have made sure she was dead because as he looks at a map, she comes up behind him and beats his head in with a rock. Then she stabs him with his own knife and, just to make sure, puts the pickaxe in the back of his truck through his chest.
Twenty-four hours ago Tamsin (Ksenia Islamova; The Lockdown Hauntings) and her friend Karla arrived in Fuerteventura. It didn’t take long for Andras and his crew...

DarkGame, the latest thriller about dark doings on the Dark Web, opens with the masked figure known as The Presenter overseeing the murder of a bound woman in a manner chosen by the highest bidder. By the way, he chooses a chainsaw as the instrument of her demise. That’s followed by Detectives Ben Jacobs and Cathy Burnette rescuing two missing children from traffickers.
Ben has barely gotten home to his pregnant wife however when they’re called back into the station. The woman we saw killed in the opening scene had vanished without a trace a couple of weeks earlier. The footage is the only clue they have as to who is responsible, but the people behind it know how to cover their tracks.

We spoke to Ed Westwick to mark the release of his new thriller Dark Game. Speaking about the themes of the film, and his process getting into the role, we also discussed another new project of his entitled Deep Fear, which is available on Netflix. Naturally while we did speak about his recent and upcoming projects, we couldn’t help but look back and talk to the English actor about Gossip Girl and the continuing legacy of the show. While some actors can have an aversion to a popular role and the fandom comes with it, Westwick is very receptive to the ongoing support, as he talks about what it means to him on a personal level to be so wedded to a show that has such a loyal fan-base.

"I expect your death to top the ratings." Gravitas Ventures has revealed the unsettling official trailer for a film titled DarkGame, a twisted horror thriller by director Howard J. Ford. Set for release in February on VOD if anyone wants to watch. A determined Portland detective is in a race against time to stop a twisted game show being broadcast on the dark web, where captives are forced to compete for their lives. The losers are executed via live broadcast. For the sadistic masked host, this is all part of his master plan to gain more ratings. Ed Westwick stars as Det. Ben Jacobs, with Andrew P. Stephen, Natalya Tsvetkova, Lola Wayne, Rose Reynolds, and Rory Alexander. This isn't the first movie about a death game broadcast online, there are tons of them already, and this definitely won't be the last either. This looks as exploitative and as gross as the game within it,...

Director James Gunn has been named PETA’s 2023 Person of the Year. Per the animal rights organization, Gunn has been selected “for using impressive and stunningly well-crafted CGI animals to inspire tens of millions of moviegoers—who flocked to theaters to see ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3’—to have compassion for the millions of animals killed by experimenters in laboratories.”
The third installment of “Guardians of the Galaxy” explains Rocket Raccoon’s origin story as a test subject in a lab, alongside other animals.
“By telling the story of the millions of vulnerable animals abused in experiments, James Gunn has shown himself to be a true animal guardian,” says PETA president Ingrid Newkirk. “PETA is delighted to honor him for encouraging exactly what the world needs: empathy for all living beings.”
Gunn also adopted his dog, Ozu, in May 2022 and promoted #AdoptDontShop on each post related to his dog’s journey.
