The main character Elina is very similar to Sarah Giercksky in real life. She wrote the character based upon her own experiences with the death of her father and how she had to end her MMA career due to an injury.
Alicia Henriksson who plays Sarah Giercksky's mother in Sargad is actually Sarah's mother in real life.
