2025 is in full swing, and with March just around the corner, it’s time for you to look ahead at the movies and series scheduled to depart Netflix throughout the month of March. The biggest notable TV series leaving is The Mindy Project, while hit films like Scooby-Doo and Love Again, among others, are also set to depart.
As always, Netflix’s library is constantly evolving. That means new titles are always on the way, but because Netflix licenses titles from big distributors, they’re not always on Netflix forever. When this license (or rental period) comes to an end, the movie or series leaves Netflix.
Note: This list will be constantly updated throughout February as we learn of more series and movies set to leave (typically 30 days before their departure). In the last few weeks of the month, Netflix...

Comedian Harry Deansway has lost his case against Steve Coogan’s production company Baby Cow over a sitcom he claimed infringed his copyright.
A judge in London’s High Court has ruled that Baby Cow series “Live at the Moth Club,” which ran for one season on UKTV in 2022, wasn’t a copy of Deansway’s 2013 YouTube series “Shambles.”
A two-day civil trial was held in November 2024, with comedians including “The Windsors” star Ellie White and “Jurassic World Dominion” duo Alexander Owen and Ben Ashenden, who contributed to “Live at the Moth Club,” testifying on behalf of Baby Cow. The trio said any coincidences between the two shows, which both blended stand-up sets with sitcom tropes, were a coincidence.
High Court Recorder Amanda Michaels ultimately agreed with that assessment.

The 90s has a not-entirely unearned reputation as a bit of a dead zone for television sci-fi outside of the USA – especially in the UK. However, the truth is that the 90s was actually something of a golden age. It’s just that in Britain, this golden age happened exclusively between 3:25 pm, when everyone got off school, and 5:30 pm, when everyone watched Neighbours. These homegrown and Australian shows ran the entire gamut of what science fiction could do, from hilarity to terror.
The budgets were low, the special effects had a short shelf life and most of them are now almost impossible to find outside of the memories of some nostalgic Millennials, but they introduced an entire generation to the sci-fi genre, as well as to some banging theme tunes.

Think of a British TV series about the royal family that launched in 2016 and features some of Britain’s best writing and acting talent. No, not “The Crown” but “The Windsors,” the royal comedy show from Channel 4 that is poised to steal “The Crown’s” well, crown. A soap opera-style sitcom, it shows Charles, William, Harry and the rest of the royals as they’ve never been seen before.
Where “The Crown” offers a sober, historical take on the royals, winning both critical plaudits and awards in the process, “The Windsors” is a cheeky younger sibling that has spent its life in the shadows. A documentary on the legal woes between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard headlines the new spring lineup from U.K. broadcaster Channel 4.
At the channel’s Content Showcase in London, chief content officer Ian Katz unveiled a slate of “purposeful, provocative but never predictable” programming that he hopes will get people “thinking, arguing and asking questions about the world in which we live.”
“Depp vs Heard” will be a three-part series by BAFTA-nominated series director Emma Cooper, investigating the notorious defamation trial that captivated global audiences for three straight months last year. The case — dubbed the world’s first ‘Tik Tok trial’ — was a global media event and raised significant issues regarding violence, gender and the nature of justice in the post-truth era.

Commissions
U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a documentary on Prince Andrew as part of its programming around the coronation of his brother, King Charles III. Andrew’s disastrous 2019 interview with then “Newsnight” anchor Emily Maitlis was widely mocked and condemned and proved to be the catalyst in Andrew’s banishment from public life. In the new two-part documentary “Andrew – The Problem Prince” (working title) from Channel 4 and A&e, Maitlis speaks in detail about the interview. The documentary uses archive footage, interviews with BBC producer Sam McAlister and exclusive access to palace insiders, to uncover the inside story of the interview and unravel the scandal that led to his fall from grace.
Among Channel 4’s other coronation programming, “Frankie Boyle’s Farewell to the Monarchy” airs in the build up to the event and will provide the comedian’s perspective on the history of the royal family and its modern-day goings on.
U.K. broadcaster Channel 4 has commissioned a documentary on Prince Andrew as part of its programming around the coronation of his brother, King Charles III.

King Charles might want to look away. “The Windsors” – Channel 4’s satirical comedy series about the British royal family – is returning for a fourth season, with comedian Harry Enfield set to reprise his role as the hapless Charles.
Variety understands work got underway on a fourth season last May but the creative team were sidetracked by the death of Queen Elizabeth II in September and her son Prince Charles’s succession to the throne. “The Windsors” team are set to mark Charles’s coronation next month with a feature-length special, which recently wrapped.
A rep for Channel 4 said a fourth season hadn’t yet been confirmed but Variety understands that the team are planning to start shooting later this year or early 2024. And while the show will not feature the latest generation of royals, which include William and Kate’s children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis, some...

Channel 4’s ‘The Windsors’ To Return With King Charles Coronation Parody
Channel 4 Harry Enfield comedy The Windsors is to return after three years to parody King Charles’ Coronation later this year. Enfield’s King Charles character will take center stage as the UK’s first coronation in 70 years approaches. Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan are concentrating on life in California but pondering whether to fly over for the big day, while Prince William is focusing on the UK’s cost-of-living crisis. Produced by Noho Film & TV, The Windsors aired for three seasons on Channel 4 from 2016 to 2020. “Any channel worth its salt has a landmark show with the word coronation in the title,” said Joe Hullait, Channel 4 Comedy Commissioning Executive. “For the BBC it was the world’s first televised Coronation in 1953. For ITV it’s the world’s longest running soap Coronation Street. We at Channel 4 are delighted to announce...

As if King Charles III didn’t already have enough drama in his life, between his logorrheic son Prince Harry and disgraced brother Prince Andrew, comedian Harry Enfield is set to unleash a little more chaos ahead of the coronation in May.
Enfield’s Channel 4 comedy “The Windsors” is returning for a coronation special, with the comedian set to reprise his role as the monarch.
“Charles’ whole life has been building up to this moment and he wants the U.K.’s first coronation in seventy years to be a spectacular affair with all the pomp and circumstance he deserves,” reads the logline. “As does his Queen Consort Camilla (Haydn Gwynne), who can’t wait to drape herself in diamonds and fur. Sadly, the U.K. is in the middle of a cost of living crisis and Wills (Hugh Skinner) thinks the coronation should reflect these more straitened times.”

Haydn Gwynne, who plays Queen Consort Camilla in The Windsors, has said the royal comedy is planning to shoot a special episode in time for King Charles’s Coronation later this year.
“They have commissioned another series, which we will be shooting later this year. But also, we’re going to be very soon doing a Coronation special,” Gwynne told the BBC’s Radio 4 Saturday.
Gwynne continued to say that she initially thought the show wouldn’t return after George Jeffrie, who co-wrote the series with Bert Tyler-Moore, died of a heart attack in 2020.
“I thought that would be the end of it, so it’s amazing that Bert has managed to pick up the baton, and we’re doing it again.”

This filmed version of the Broadway show, with its accidental comedy and cringeworthy lines, is a guilty-pleasures singalong in waiting
And … now … it’s … springtime for glamour and victimhood, winter for Windsors and Charles. Netflix have now given us the filmed version of the entirely gobsmacking and jawdropping Broadway show Diana: The Musical, shot at the Longacre theatre on West 48th Street last summer with no audience while the show itself was on pause due to the Covid pandemic. And while you’re waiting for Pablo Larraín’s movie Spencer, starring Kristen Stewart as Diana, this will have to do. Although there is a danger it will cause you to hyperventilate.
Not since the Cats movie have I literally shouted from my seat: “What? What? What?” Only by having Diana ride on stage on the back of a Jellicle cat could this be more bizarre. If it was deliberate satire it would be genius,...

Whishaw is joined by newcomer Ambika Mod as Shruti, a young junior doctor just starting in obstetrics and gynaecology. Naturally bright, diligent and caring, she has everything it takes to be a great doctor, but the job still finds ways to throw her into chaos and doubt.

“Anchors, rigging, shackles,” lists Katy Wix down the phone, “poop deck, wheelhouse, three sheets to the wind…” The comedian and writer has had a productive year. Filming wrapped on Ghosts series two just as UK lockdown began. Since then, she’s finished one book – Delicacy: A Memoir – due out next April, is pitching another, writing a TV show, and thanks to a new-found obsession with Netflix yacht-based reality show Below Deck, has also managed to acquire an enviable grasp of nautical terminology.
Wix is an established UK comic actor, with credits across the board, starting with cult hit Time Trumpet and going mainstream as witless, lovable Daisy in BBC mega-sitcom Not Going Out. She’s currently part of Channel 4’s Stath Lets Flats, the hottest comedy around, fresh from multiple Bafta wins. She plays Fergie in royal satire The Windsors, and was among the comedian-contestants in series nine of Taskmaster.

The Windsors is perhaps the fiercest and the most savage British comedy you can binge right now. The show, created by George Jeffrie and Bert Tyler-Moore, is essentially a parody that caricatures the British royal family by taking digs at every flawed aspect of the monarchy, be it the extremely dated social hegemony or even Prince Andrew!

And although the Fab Four or Prince Charles and Camilla may be lovely people in real life, the show takes a harsh look at their privilege and inherited entitlement. The show does take a few liberties, like depicting Prince Harry as the dumbest Windsor who can’t read and portraying Pippa Middleton as a vicious social climber, but the result is hysterical. Here are some of the moments from the show which are just too savage for the telly.

BAFTA-winning British comedy star and The Windsors actor Harry Enfield has waded into the growing debate about white comedians performing in blackface, saying he doesn’t regret doing it in the past.
Interviewed on the Today show on BBC Radio 4, Enfield discussed performing as Nelson Mandela and an Indian man in past sketches and said: “I wouldn’t do it now, but I don’t think I regret it.”
He added that there should be a “conversation” about applying black or brown makeup for a comedy role, particularly when it comes to satirizing public figures. Enfiled said if British chancellor Rishi Sunak became prime minister, he would “find it difficult that I would not be allowed to play him because of the color of his skin.”
He added, however, that some blackface portrayals are far from appropriate. “Obviously, Al Johnson or G H Elliot, who played the Chocolate Coloured...

“I’ve got another family in Telford that I’ve never spoken about,” announces comedian and writer Holly Walsh on a Zoom press call. “Luckily, by writing this, it’s tax deductible.”
She’s joking of course. Since writing a sitcom pilot about two step-sisters who only discover each other’s existence after their dad’s death, Walsh keeps being asked if the premise is autobiographical. It isn’t, but The Other One is inspired by a true story she heard about a man with two families who gave his kids the same name to avoid confusion or being sprung. “I thought that’s such a brilliant story.”
Walsh and her writing partner Pippa Brown turned it into a six-episode sitcom about uptight, high-achieving Cathy (The Windsors and Ellie & Natasia‘s Ellie White) and freewheeling, fun-seeking Cat (Catastrophe and Misfits’ Lauren Socha). Half-sisters just five days apart in age, they...

Exclusive: At a moment of endless fascination and controversy involving the Royal Family, what better time to mount a movie about Wallis Simpson, the woman who prompted King Edward VIII to abdicate the crown in 1936? The Gotham Group has closed a rights deal for The American Duchess: The Real Wallis Simpson by New York Times-bestselling author Anna Pasternak.
The film will be produced by The Gotham Group’s Lee Stollman and Ellen Goldsmith-Vein, with the author exec producing. In light of shows like The Crown – which told a fascinating story about how a young Queen Elizabeth was forced to confront Edward for his actions as a Hitler booster — Downton Abbey, and the CNN series The Windsors, to say nothing of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s public abdication and the controversy surrounding Prince Andrew, there’s seemingly not enough stories to sate the world’s appetite for the British royals.

With a third of the world’s population officially on lockdown (a number that is increasing every minute of every day), Netflix and other online services are experiencing an unprecedented surge in demand.
So much so, in fact, that Netflix and YouTube plan to reduce streaming quality across Europe for the next month in order to ease the strain on the Internet. These are strange times, indeed.
Be that as it may, today is April 1st, which means two things – 1) it’s April Fool’s Day, so the Internet is littered with prank videos and other shenanigans and 2) the Internet’s major streaming services have rolled out a fresh wave of content. Speaking of which, thanks to What’s On Netflix, below you’ll find a comprehensive list of all 83 titles that have been added to the online platform as of April 1st.

Now that we’re self-isolating at home to help defeat the Covid-19 pandemic, this may be the perfect opportunity to catch up on things that have been in our Netflix watchlist for a long while.
The novel coronavirus, a mutated strand from the family of coronaviruses, originated from Wuhan, China late last year, but currently, every single country in the world is battling the outbreak. As of now, more than 714,000 people have contracted the disease and 33,617 have passed away due to severe cases of acute respiratory syndrome. In the Us alone, more than 139,000 patients have been identified and approximately 158 million people are under lockdown across all 50 states. While the ramifications of the Covid-19 may have dealt the world of economics an unprecedented blow, business models like Netflix have profited from people spending more time at home with little to do.
Now, obviously, the platform has enough TV shows and movies...

Harry and Meghan’s exit from the British royal family could not have come at a better time for CNN. However, it’s not just the constant news coverage that is a boon for the WarnerMedia brand but the fact that its six-part docuseries, The Windsors: Inside The Royal Dynasty, launches on February 16.
Amy Entelis, Evp, Talent and Content Development, CNN, opened up to Deadline in an extensive interview about the story behind the royal series, the company’s latest programming slate as well as opportunities to “expand its universe” through upcoming streaming service HBO Max.
