Ellis' plan hits a snag when he, Jake, Sam, Ally and Sarah end up at a rave party in the next town just in time for some sleepless delirium to settle in for Jake.
As Ellis heads for Dallas to find answers, Ally, Jake and Sam trace a hopeful radio transmission to a nearby town where what's left of the community is celebrating the day of the dead. Unfortunately, a psycho killer is stalking them.
Ellis meets new allies in Dallas including a romantic couple determined to have one final perfect date. Meanwhile, Ally, Jake and Sam locate the source of the transmission in Austin.
Ally's lover Lex shows her research to Ally. Lex's nasty boss orders her to find more test subjects. Jake has another nightmare about his dead loved ones. Ellis and his team are captured by a crazed journalist with messiah complex.
