The Discovery Channel was originally attached to produce before both the Johnson Family and director Stephen Lancaster decided to retain all rights to the story.
Director Stephen Lancaster appeared in two episodes of the Biography Channel's "My Ghost Story." He was approached to appear for a third time to showcase the Johnson family story but declined.
