There's a running joke between director Thomas J Churchill and Executive Producer David Schifter that they purposely film in North Carolina in the dead of summer as a ritual, albeit a hot one. The Rack Pack is their second time working together.
David Schifter, who plays Mr. Rackley, father of three boys in the film, actually has two daughters, Caitlin and Mikaela.
