Why does it say "Biography, Drama" for genres here?? Seems more like a comedy. And it's definitely not a biography. It's more of a fantasy (at least the last part). And the acting is atrocious. Enough said.
Considering it's by the Asylum, after watching it for the second time it's actually pretty enjoyable. Nation's a pretty good 70s Elvis and the other actors... can act decently. Excluding that Mia girl, she's an awful character.

Elvis Lives kinda... Not bad not great. It was just right length. Any longer I don't think I'd watch it all.

The IMDB description that Elvis' was faced with his voice failing is wrong. His voice never failed him. He may have forgot the lyrics during some of his concerts, but his voice was always great. I give this movie 2 stars just because it's about Elvis. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be fiction of not. I never heard about the paranoid Elvis that wanted to off one of his confidants. I understand why Elvis took pharmaceuticals since the world pretty much made him a god, and how would anyone handle that situation? Imagine the mind boggling pressure it would have been being Elvis. The drugs were his way to cope. I just don't know what someone around him could have talked to him and set him straight with the drugs. Elvis didn't regard his pharmaceuticals as same as drug abuse because his medication was prescribed by his doctor, so to him, he was legitimately using them. In that era, everyone was using those drugs. Probably no one will ever know what it was like to be at that level of fame and adoration.
Worst crappy movie I've ever seen made. I am huge fan of Elvis but this movie is like a joke making fun of Elvis and I don't like it one bit at all! It's disgusting! The director of this film needs find another hobby!

Unlike a train wreck, you CAN tear your eyes away. The acting and casting is horrible. Why would someone spend money and time making this? They must have money to burn. So bad. Do not watch.

I liked it. It's bright, fun and interesting. It may be the cocktail of prescription drugs talking here, but I had a lot of fun watching.
The problem with making movies about Elvis is that nobody looks like Elvis. Nobody. Maybe if Johnny Depp would've considered it a decade ago. Anyway...
It's a fun what-if scenario. I'd recommend it to fans of Elvis who didn't care much for the rhinestone jumpsuit, bloated, gospel, drugged era and would like to see an interesting fantasy about what could have been in the last few years of his life.
It's a light movie in a way, but it doesn't avoid the darker subjects. The low rating people must have expected an honest biopic. Impossible.
Take care of business then watch this movie.

Quite a mix of comedy, drama, fact, fiction. Dumb, brilliant and everything in between.. Was it possible? Was it impossible? Little bit of everything but quite enjoyable. The king is dead, but long live the king! Asylum movies may be bizarre,.but they certainly are entertaining.
