- TriviaThe back story for the male lead in this movie is that he was once a popular recording star who more or less retired from music and has lived a very different life as a B&B owner and widower with his now 20 yr old daughter. Of course he is still recognized by fans and still dabbles in singing, such that he sings several songs in each of the movies in this series (now up to #4). The interesting thing is that much of that describes Jack Wagner, himself. Older fans will remember that Jack toured and recorded in the 80's hitting the charts with "All I need", #2 on the US hot 100 and #1 on the Adult Contemporary chart in 1985. His authentic guitar playing and singing are a far cry from the usual dubbed and faked musicianship for these movies.

I liked the young women, liked the setting and the actors but that horrible wig distracted me in every scene. I kept expecting someone to rip it off so we could see real hair. It was the worst wig I've ever seen anywhere. What were you thinking, Hallmark, to do this to a very competent actor.
A real plus was the relationship of the two daughters; it made sense, they were charming and there was no fake getting upset with each other and having to resolve all that drama.
The sidekick chef was an added bonus as well; he was believable and his creations made me hungry.
Just couldn't get over the wig - it spoiled a decent movie for me.
