Heart Surgeon Dr Mukesh Hariawala debuted in Bollywood films with a short role in Rough Book directed by Ananth Mahadevan. They became good personal friends and thus when another suitable role came up, Dr MH was promptly cast by the director also in Aksar2.

Film was scheduled to release on 6th October 2017 but was pushed to 17th November 2017.Due to launch of a new song Tanhaiya.
Tanhaiya song was launched on 6th October 2017 which was earlier finalized as the films release date.
