Filmed primarily in Southeast Los Angeles (SELA) cities: Bell, Huntington Park, Downey, South Gate, & Commerce respectively. Ranch location was filmed in Riverside / Perris, CA.
Roberto Vargas is named after director Robert Rodriguez, whose film "El Mariachi" and subsequent book "Rebel Without a Crew" was a direct influence on the making of this film.
Composer Brandon Carmona solely put together the score for the film over the course of being 16-18 years of age. The soundtrack also features two instrumental musical contributions from L.A. band, The Altons.
Filmed with only a budget of $700 and a crew of three 19-year old filmmakers: Chris Carmona (Director), Tony Remigio (Director of Photography), and Jose Martinez (Producer/Sound Mixer) with Oscar Muñoz filling in for Jose on the days he was unavailable.
