Mop the kitchen floor, paint skirting board, wash windows, have a fight with your partner, all these and anything else would be a better use of your time. Remember your time is limited, don't waste it on this. SHOCKING. I have to write more to qualify my review of this movie - I'll repeat some other more satisfying ways to spend your time - cut your toenails, cut the grass (and the hedge if you have one), wash your car, wash the neighbors car. Look for another job, update your CV, change the bedding in your home, wash the toilet bowl (s), iron some socks, iron some under wear, whatever you do, do not watch this movie - Love you all x.

Poor direction, awful script, dislikable characters and acting as wooden as the boathouse where most of the action's set. The reasons for the four main characters gathering on the lakeside house are logical enough, but - ultimately - we just don't care about them or their privileged self-indulgence: their mood swings suggest a two hour film cut down to this 90 minutes. The score is vapid, the symbolism of the animals and insects leaden. The highlight happens 1 minute in with a quote from Shakespeare. But has the mighty Bard ever been associated with such self-indulgent tosh? Nice location though. But that's it.

Grief affects people differently. Understated but intelligent movie. Two siblings and their respective partners meet at the family lake house on the anniversary of their parents accident. Different personalities and idiosyncrasies grate against each other until the tension bursts and the inevitable argument/arguments/outbursts-of-truth take place. Complex study of characters, some who become less likeable as the weekend proceeds. However the derided hippie chick character, the butt of many jokes, is redeemed by the time the weekend draws to a close. Great acting from all leads. First time I have heard 'Demons' by Carly Johnson. What a great track for the dance scene! A movie that is worth 1.5 hours of your time.
