Star Wars once introduced time travel, and it almost destroyed the saga’s timeline. The Star Wars universe values a strict canon quite a lot, especially compared to franchises like Marvel or DC. Disney’s Star Wars canon means that there are dozens of non-canon Star Wars stories. However, there is no such thing as an alternate Star Wars timeline or an established Star Wars multiverse.
The Star Wars animated series tend to be more innovative and imaginative compared to the big live-action releases. The animation format helps translate bold concepts into compelling stories. That is something shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, and the non-canon Star Wars: Visions have accomplished. Some concepts, however, can be way too ambitious. For example, Star Wars Rebels’ World Between Worlds risked changing the franchise’s canon forever.

It was basically a foregone conclusion that Mandalorian warrior Sabine Wren would eventually make the jump to live action once Ahsoka Tano (Rosario Dawson) showed up on The Mandalorian still searching for Grand Admiral Thrawn. After all, when Ahsoka first set out on her mission to find the Imperial villain — and the Jedi friend he’d stolen from her — it was Sabine who joined her on that journey.
Well, Deadline has finally confirmed that, yes, Sabine is back and will be played Natasha Liu Bordizzo (The Society) on the upcoming Star Wars: Ahsoka series on Disney+. The outlet didn’t dig up any plot details about Sabine’s live-action debut, but we already know plenty, thanks to the Rebels animated series that concluded in 2018.
You can say Sabine’s return has been years in the making. Dave Filoni, who is writing and executive producing Ahsoka, along with The Mandalorian showrunner Jon Favreau,...

Dybbuk
Starring Emraan Hashmi,Nikita Dutta,Manav Kaul
Written & Directed Jay K
Dybbuk tries for some surface variation in the horror convention. It is set in the Jewish community in Mauritius. The scenic island looks good whenever the camera finds time to look, and the Jewish characters converse in Hebrew. And yes, the talented Manav Kaul who recently showed his skills from behind the camera in Tathagat, has an almost parallel role to the film’s official leading man Emraan Hashmi.
Hashmi plays the deadpan husband to the pregnant Nikita Dutta. The unborn child, poor thing, is cursed by a diabolic force trapped in a Dybbuk box… Why not just throw the fancy box in the neighbour’s backyard and get on with the show? This is really not a film we are supposed to make head or tail of. Exploring Jewish mythology with very little conviction (apart from the...

Based on the 2012 American genre film “The Possession” from Ole Bornedal, director Jay K. attempts a Malayalam-centered effort on the same premise for this supernatural spookfest. Focusing heavily on the Jewish culture of Kerala where it was filmed, the overall effect is a slight downgrade from the American original but is still quite enjoyable and features a few merits of its own.
After moving into a new city due to work, Ranjan Mathew (Prithviraj Sukumaran) and his wife Priya Raghuram (Priya Anand) try to adjust to the differences in culture but are unable to do so. When she decides to go shopping one day in order to help acclimate herself to the city, she takes an interest in a special box from an antique store and brings it home, only to immediately find themselves inundated with a series of paranormal encounters. Mollywood Rumors about Tovino joining the ‘Lucifer’ star cast began after the star recently posted a picture of himself with Mohanlal.Digital NativeThe shooting of Lucifer is all set to begin in April / May this year and there are enough speculations doing rounds about this project. Expectations are high on it as it will mark the directorial debut of actor Prithviraj. Incidentally, this will be the first time the two actors are associating. Earlier reports suggested that Prithviraj’s brother and actor Indrajith would be playing the main antagonist in this film, and speculations are rife now that Tovino Thomas has been roped for a crucial role as well. However, both these reports are yet to be confirmed by official sources. Rumors about Tovino joining the Lucifer star cast began after the star recently posted a picture of himself with Mohanlal. Sources say that a clear picture of this project would emerge only after Prithviraj is done with his current assignments. While Mohanlal and Tovino Thomas had shared the screen space in Koothara, which was directed by Sreenath Rajendran, he had worked with Prithviraj in three movies Ezra, Seventh Day, and Ennu Ninte Moideen and shares a good rapport. It may be mentioned here that Prithviraj is expecting the release of Ranam, a bilingual directed by Nirmal Sahadev. The film has gone into the post production mode and is expected to release in a couple of weeks. He also has the Anjali Menon directorial, which has not been titled yet. Prithviraj also has Aadujeevitham in his kitty which is in the initial stages of production and would go on to the floors soon. Well, to know more about Lucifer we will have to wait for sometime as the team is currently busy with the pre-production work.
