Thomas wanted to make this film since 2014. This film was delayed for 3 years because Thomas was busy with "Darkest Case and "Narrows" Season 2. He almost began production in winter 2016 but, Thomas was working on "Downtown: The Aftermath" and was forced to postpone once again. In January of 2017, Thomas completed the script and began casting the film. Production began in February that same year.
