needs work

This movie to me, was uneventful. I kept waiting for something interesting to happen but it never did.

Not bad at all . . .

Definitely give this one a go, it's quaint, it's cute with charming acting but have a drink or whatever to relax before watching it, It's good but it's not amazing.

Beautifully emotional while keeping you laughing

This movie beautifully captures the emotional pitfalls of a breakup and the highs of falling in love. It keeps you laughing while somehow also being vulnerable and open about mental health issues. I highly recommend this film and I look forward to future films and projects by this talented writer/director!

homemade, lots of soundboom shadow...

But a humouristic take on mr lovejoy. its not hilarious slapstick, rather a at the moment plain frustrated reaction flick that dont ease down til the dead mum and dads dust land silently on the living room carpet, or carpet diem or ola la in the search for a love one and search for a room mate to slit the rent.

its not any flaws, the cast is small, and the dialouges are fresh without too much of a swear, so if you would like to make any resemblance then have a little look at poor greg drowning, a plain comedy without much darkness or irony.a small recommend from the grumpy old man.

Surprisingly Hilarious Low Budget Comedy

I get the impression that a group of stand up comedians wanted to make a Judd Apatow-style comedy, and Poor Greg Drowning was the result. I laughed throughout. Please don't let the obviously low budget nature of the production design dissuade you from seeing this, the jokes are just too good.

Surprised

Well color me surprised. This was a good movie. Nudity would've made it go off but you can't have everything.

A "Fight Club" Comedy

How does this dark, well-written, beautifully acted comedy seem to remind me and my friends of "Fight Club?" You'll have to watch it to find out.

This movie is a quick-witted, dark humor comedy that puts you in the story alongside the main character rather than a fly on a wall looking in. Graham Sibley gives an authentic, genuine performance that fills the entire screen throughout the entire film. My friends and I found ourselves laughing out loud at even the "throw away" commends Sibley delivered with perfect comedic timing.

I highly recommend watching this first feature film by Jeffrey Scott Collins because I am certain it will not be his last. The best is yet to come from this up and coming writer/director.

Best Dark Humor

Poor Greg Drowning is the sort of movie that marries brilliant storytelling, dark humor and excellent scriptwriting.

This is a definite MUST WATCH! Well done to the writers and cast.

A film to enjoy!

I love this type of film; it's the perfect balance of grounded yet quirky, cringe and awkward moments/people. The writing and chemistry between the actors really made it for me.

More than a good laugh

I absolutely loved this movie! After watching the trailer I figured it would be a typical Rom-Com to watch a Friday night with a glass of wine, but it was more than that. It definitely fulfilled that romance vibe for me and literally made me laugh out loud, but it was also quite thought provoking at some points too. I felt that the main character Greg, and his situations, were so relatable. This movie had a good balance of silliness and seriousness. I would highly recommend it to anybody!
