The original release date was set for October 2022 however Bagman Rising took over 6 years to complete. Every set-back imaginable was thrown at the film-makers from crew quitting mid-way through to actors being re-cast as well as no support from locally-sourced outlets. The film was created from the ground-up without any outside funding from investors or government grants.
During filming of the Malice interrogation scene, Adrian accidentally overstepped his footing and hit Cordell in the face causing a nose injury. Cordell continued and finished the scene despite his injuries.
Phillip was punched and kicked in the face multiple times during the course of filming (by accident of course) from the Hallway Fight scene to the Dangler vs. Bagman fight. Despite drawing blood he still continued with the scenes.
The idea for the film about a cult of evil people wearing masks to wreck havoc on society was originally conceptualized in 2018 before the government mask mandates were put in place in 2020. The correlation between the masks in the film and the government mandates was by sheer-luck. Bagman Rising turned from a silly gimmick to a parody of the mask mandate events that took place globally.
Bagman Rising was originally designed to be completed in 2 years but a plethora of events held it back such as the original actress who played Dayla Dangler went missing during the shoot and had to be replaced, Covid slowing things down for another year causing panic and fear amongst certain crew members at the time, and unnecessary re-shoots. On top of that many things burned production time with people coming and going never knowing if any of the cast or crew were going to show up. By the time 2022 came around the crew was solidified and production was completed without hiccup. A Guerilla-style movie like this will most-likely never be made again by the film-makers due to the sheer difficulty of completing certain scenes, sometimes just with the cinematographer and a few actors to help.
