Writer-director Anders Helde and actor Peter Steen met each other during the shooting of 'The Inheritance' (2003) where Anders Helde first pitched the idea for the movie to Peter Steen. Subsequently, when Mr. Steen showed interest in the project, Anders Helde gave him the script and agreed to do the movie whenever production was ready to start.
