On at least two occasions Dr Lee's patients have had to have their lipomas removed in a hospital rather then her office.
In one episode Dr. Lee removes 68 lipomas from each patient's arm the most she has ever removed.
Despite her name Dr. Lee's patients are mostly lipomas not pimples.
The popularity of the program has been attributed to what some have termed the "eww factor."
In mid-2019, a change was made in her on-air promos. Previously, after shots from her upcoming episode, Dr. Lee would appear with her logo and it would end with her giving a big smile. In more recent promos, the shot of Dr. Lee would end just before she begins to smile.
