In the free-spending 1990s, European-produced porn exploded, with much American talent getting trips to France, Italy, etc. (all to provide big-names on international productions). Hollywood had long complained of Runaway Production, with so many big movies made in Canada or overseas to save on costs, but Veronica Hart working for VCA Pictures took the opposite route here, importing top Euro talent for a trip to L. A., resulting in a nothing movie.
Film's copyright belongs to star Helen Duval, a sexy if cold blonde who is certainly watchable but not an international great on the level of say, Silvia Saint. Casting is deficient in having three leading ladies who, while distinctive in their own right are exactly the same type: Duval, Lea Martini as her best pal, and Anita Blond. In addition yet another big-bust blonde, superstar Stacy Valentine is thrown into the mix in a crummy role as a girl on the beach having sex with surfer Nick East while the stars Lea and Helen watch.
The scenes and footage are not knitted together, merely assembled to feature length in what amounts to a travelogue, not touristy shots in exotic foreign locales but rather scenes of the ladies visiting L. A., with the obligatory shot of an Angelyne billboard, and attractive beach footage toward sunset. I suppose it played better to European audiences at the time.
Nominal story is stupid, beginning with a pair of studs played by Zenza Raggi and Reinhard telling our heroines that they can't take them out on the town as promised, with some cock & bull story of how groom Andrew (Mark Davis in a no-dialogue role) is having cold feet about the marriage. Instead, they volunteer to have fun with the blondes in their hotel room, accounting for the initial foursome XXX scene.
Later, after their visit to the beach (in which they never disrobe) the ladies spot the studs and Andrew going into a strip club rented out for Andrew's bachelor party. They pretend to be strippers and join real strippers Nyrobi Knight and Sofia Ferrari for a sex orgy with the party guests, including Andrew, who doesn't recognize them because the ladies wear fancy masks.
The ladies have no money with them but Helen pays cab driver Mr. Marcus for their ride by having sex with him in the back seat.
Producer-director Veronica Hart, adding zero laurels to her extremely impressive Adult Cinema resume, does a lousy job here, evidenced in the very embarrassing first segment of the movie in which Reinhard, Zenza and the ladies stumble as they attempt to recite dialogue in heavily accented English.
