This was a charity special shepherded by one-time Bond producer Kevin McClory. It was filmed at his home in Kildare. Ireland, Straffan House, which is now the the luxurious golf resort, the K Club.
Kevin McClory called in a few favours from old friends and colleagues to get this made. Sean Connery had worked with him before on " Thunderball " and would go on to collaborate with him again on " Never Say Never Again ", Shirley Maclaine had worked with him on " Around the World in 80 Days ", and he had been an assistant director for John Huston on " The African Queen ".
The film was made as a benefit for the Central Remedial Clinic and Variety Club of Ireland.
