Season 11, Episode 50
This episode takes a look at the Demi Moore film GI JANE, the sci-fi/horror hybrid EVENT HORIZON, POOH'S GRAND ADVENTURE and the all-star cast COPLAND. The Video Pick of the Week also shines the spotlight on the likes of EVERYONE SAYS I LOVE YOU and MOTHER and there's also a special look at ULEE'S GOLD. What I enjoy most about going back and re-watching these episodes is that they're a good reminder about some of the very good films that might have slipped your mind over the years. It's also interesting to see how the films were reviewed and looked at one point but how they've changed since then. EVENT HORIZON pretty much didn't do anything when released but today's it's considered a cult favorite. Seeing what COPLAND was meant to do with Stallone's career and here he ended up going. Things like this, to a film buff, make watching these old episode just as entertaining as when they originally aired.
