Mads Mikkelsen seems to be staying busy in the wake of the conclusion of his much-beloved television series “Hannibal,” including what looks to be a deceptively big role in the upcoming “Star Wars” spinoff film, “Rogue One,” and whatever the heck is going on in this new trailer for Hideo Kojima’s upcoming video game “Death Stranding.” Just try to parse this one.
As GameSpot quite amusingly describes it, the trailer opens with an “in-game version of what looked like film director Guillermo del Toro carrying a baby in an incubation chamber while hiding from the military.” And that’s not even the half of it. Surrogate Gdt manages to look quite dapper in the middle of what appears to be a massive military occupation of a large city, complete with weird substances, floating baby dolls and a tank that seems to be covered in sentient squid-guys.
