Qianmo Shui who wrote the source novel also wrote the screenplay in collaboration with Wang Xiong Cheng. The novel was published in October 2015 and tells a love story between an actress so riddled with bad luck that she had seven relationships that were so short that she never had her first kiss and her five-hundred year old, amnesiac and black-bellied boyfriend.
There is a season two starring Mike D'Angelo and Esther Yu.
Qianmo Shui never finished high school and yet she gained success as a novelist at a young age with many popular works under her name.
