At best, an introduction for superior things to come

A young boy gets his wish and gets to make a short movie with some actual Hollywood actors. I read the other reviews and I think at least one of them didn&#39;t get the memo. Its a very short story about a zombie apocalypse and one young infected guy unselfishly saving a girls life. Ive seen a lot more movies with less of a production value &quot;actors excluded&quot; and the run-time is short enough not to overstay the lack of real story-arc. I give it a five for being a very gory and the fact that I get to see some top notch actors in unexpected scenes. My heart goes out to Anthony Conti who got his wish. may he rest in peace.

Don&#39;t pay any attention to the other review I&#39;m not sure if that guy knew what he was watching. It was produced by The Make a Film Foundation which is essentially just like make-a-wish when the terminally ill kid/young adult wants to write, direct, and/or star in their own film and celebrities volunteer their time. It was kinda sad watching this thing (knowing the dude died not long after it was made) and the only reason I COULD watch it was b/c the Foundation hadn&#39;t forced vimeo to take it down (at the time I&#39;m writing this anyway). Not a good film by any definition but I gave it three stars for being what it is: a curiosity.

&quot;The Black Ghiandola&quot; is an American 16.5-minute short film from 2017 and don&#39;t be fooled by the comic picture here as this is a live action movie. It takes place in an post-apocalyptic scenario that could be right out of The Walking Dead where we have one chubby male character help in saving a teenage girl no matter what it takes. But aside from the very generic and mediocre story, the real reason to watch this one may be all the big name supporting players they got to agree to play a minor part in here. I will spare you the names as you can check out the cast list for yourself, but you can also check out the crew list. The ending looks like they actually plan(ned) to follow up on this one, perhaps in the form of a recurring series. They probably won&#39;t get the big names to star in there too, but we will see if it happens. Judging from the quality of this short film overall, I am not too interested in seeing it unless they step things up considerably. So all in all, I give this one a thumbs-down and a negative recommendation, even if it is not a failure by any means. Fans of the genre can still check it out, they just should not expect any greatness or anything really innovative to said genre here. Fans of the big name actors can give it a go too, but turn it off after their favorite showed up as honestly, they disappear as fast as they appear. Watch something else instead.

I really enjoyed everything about this project. I think the fact that all of the talent, the actors, directors, writers and the entire back line came together to do something meaningful In literally a few days and In doing so they fulfilled a dying boys wish. In my opinion the group did it very well, the film had heart and was funny. Get your hands on it if you can and give it a watch I think you&#39;ll be happy.

I thoroughly enjoyed this short. The makeup was really well done and it had a &quot;planet terror&quot; feel to it which is right up my alley. Good job
