Although all of the phone conversations were recorded after principal photography, actress Angela Nordeng insisted on being present during filming to read her lines in order to help with authenticity.
The set was built in director R.D. Womack II's garage.
The majority of the film was made with only 3 people on set; cinematographer Naeem Seirafi, director R.D. Womack II and actor Aleksander Ristic.
Nearly 1,400 actresses applied for the role of Laura. Angela Nordeng was cast after director R.D. Womack II saw her audition for Mimi's Misadventure and subsequently asked her to read a monologue from The Thin Red Line.
The montage sequence took eight days to film, and approximately 115 hours to edit.
