The 'Other' Love Story (2016) is said to be India's very first same sex web series. When asked about her views on it, director Roopa Rao said - "It's a love story between two people; their gender doesn't matter."

There is a common thing between the directors and the leading actors in the series. they all worked in the INFOSYS Bangalore for a period of time.

The lead character Aadya kashyap shares more similarities with the director Roopa rao's real character. Roopa wrote aadya character roughly based on her own self.
