    Summary

Reviewers say 'Deadpool & Wolverine' is an entertaining film with standout performances from Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, delivering humor, action, and memorable moments. The chemistry between the two actors is praised, with their banter and interactions being highlights. However, some critics point out issues with the script, pacing, and plot, noting that the film could have benefited from tighter editing and more concise dialogue. Till you're 90 Wolverine!

Hugh Jackman is the perfect Wolverine. What a fun movie. I like the dialogue and clever quips with f bombs sprinkled in. It's definitely not taking itself too seriously. There is tons of fun cameos I didn't expect! I normally watch spoiler videos ahead of time, but I didn't on this occasion and I'm glad I didn't because there was some oh snap moments! It's a very good action packed fun film. The breaking the Fox jokes and speaking to the camera jokes are too funny. I can definitely see more sequels for these two on the horizon. They are promoting this movie hard I just watched these two on Hot Ones eating chicken wings They make a dynamic duo. Until your 90 Wolverine ...until your 90 lol.

Too Much Humor, Too Little Story

I enjoyed the first two Deadpool movies a lot, with the first being my favorite. I found DP3 less successful, mainly due to the weaker story. In the first two films, I felt they had a nice balance of humor, action, and story. Both of those movies had serious themes that drove Deadpool through the film. But this third one? The stakes just didn't seem that high. I wasn't the least bit invested in seeing DP and Wolverine succeed. That tension and hope were missing from this third film.

I think I wasn't as engaged due to the endless breaking of the fourth wall. This was done in the first two movies, but not to the extent it happens here. It seems like every 5 minutes, someone turns and looks into the camera to make a joke. Many of the jokes are about Fox, Marvel, and Disney. A few are fine, but there are so many that you get yanked out of the story.

The trash-talking was also dialed up to an eleven. It's almost like the writers felt they had to do a lot more wall-breaking and tasteless swearing to go beyond the past two films.

There are a lot of positives, however. The character cameos are fantastic. I constantly found myself saying "wow" everytime someone new came on screen. Kudos to Reynolds and everyone for getting so many great characters from the past to be included in this movie.

I also found the fight scenes and VFX to be excellent. The movie has a lot of great action. Although there were too many jokes, I have to admit I had many LOL moments.

If you loved the first two DP movies, you will most likely enjoy this latest installment. For me, the fourth-wall breaks and crass humor diminished what could have been a stronger core story.

"The movie that will save Marvel!" No, not really...

D&W is a film that objectively deserves a nice 4: full of holes in the plot, history to forget and probably one of the most lame of the whole MCU, characters without any emotional depth and many other cinematic horrors. Wolverine is reduced to a mere character that serves only to support the jokes of Deadpool. Which is a shame, since Jackman is a great actor who could have been used much more. The title of the most suitable film would be: Deadpool (written in giant letters) & a bit of Wolverine (as subtitle). The villain is terrible to say the least: almost non-existent motivations, a little random powers and a forced and fake acting. The secondary characters are strung with force , according to the fan service fashion to which the film continually winks. So why is my grade 6? It's simple: it's funny. It's a very flat and drawn-out movie, but it's funny, and not little. The irony of this film is unmatched and it makes fun of anything, following a comical pattern that has disappeared with the culture of politically correct (Disney...). The final film is free, unrestrained, unregulated and minimally influenced. Get ready to laugh every 10 minutes: the jokes are so sharp that it's almost impossible not to mention a small smile. It's a pity that comedy is not enough, if everything else is as mediocre as few films.

Honorable mention for Dogpool, who, believe me, is the best actor in the film. And that says a lot.

A little big adventure of poor humour and lacklustre cameos

When did cursing more become a recipe for humour?

Much of the film is filled with Wolverine and Deadpool needlessly stabbing of one another as if that was going to help the plot.

The cameos were more time fillers because the plot itself was without any substance.

They should stop Ryan Reynolds from writing screenplays. Anyone encouraging him should be accused of having an agenda.

If you feel that my review is stupid, ask yourself what's left of the film once you remove stupid insults, stabbing, shooting and witless sexual references?

I get that the film is a fantasy action film. It just doesn't deliver on any other level other than being base comedy.

"You were always the wrong one, till you weren't."

    What a crazy blast ! Bonkers !!

Sooo !... What I can say about this movie is that they (the whole team behind the movie) never hesitated a second to go all in, with everything they have in stores, throwing the kitchen sink in there and everything else.

What's to love is how highly satisfying the movie is from the very first to the very last second, when it comes to all the little (or not so little) winks at the audience, especially if you connect with the characters and their previous iterations...

But what you can really appreciate and which makes the entire movie (and scenes / story bits) more enjoyable is the whole emotional layer of it and really fun connections that occur (the come-back or introduction of various characters was so well done and really great to see) ...

These guys clearly know what they are doing.

Between the one-liners and the endless flow of jokes... The chemistry between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman knocks it out of the park !

It is so overflowingly cray-cray and the frame is oh so overfilled with stuffs...

Oh, and the tone of the movie is something else !

The intro sequence is a masterpiece... The "corridor" type of fight scene (that's in fact in a street) around the end the movie, it's just...a banquet of madness.

Plus, the soundtrack is -like in the previous movies- super satisfying.

I am quite excited for what there is to come next in the MCU and for these characters we've seen in this movie...

    • Trivia
Hugh Jackman said he really was done playing the character of Wolverine after Logan (2017). He then said he regretted that statement after watching the first Deadpool (2016) and expressed to Ryan his interest in the two characters meeting on the big screen. When asked why he chose to return for this film, he simply said, "I just wanted to do it, and I felt it in my gut", adding that he wanted to have the best possible time ever on a movie set together with Ryan Reynolds. Likewise, Reynolds wanted to work alongside Jackman since the first Deadpool film and was saddened when he (Jackman) retired from the role.

Deadpool: Welcome to the MCU, by the way. You're joining at a bit of a low point.

    • Crazy credits
The closing credits are accompanied by a montage of clips and behind-the-scenes footage from the 20th Century Fox superhero movies (the X-Men franchise, the Fantastic Four films, Daredevil, and Elektra). At the end is the 20th Century Fox logo.
    • Alternate versions
In order to get a release in China, some scenes were edited or removed. The scene where Al asks Deadpool to do cocaine and then lists different names for it was completely cut out. The TVA agents fight scene had most of the blood edited out. When Wolverine kills Sabretooth, his head does not fall off on-screen and when Deadpool picks it up, a wide shot is used. Human Torch's death is shown but only briefly and his body does not melt. The Deadpool corps fight cuts out some parts and removes most of the blood. Sexual words were bleeped out. Only some f words were removed.

    • Why is Marvel Studios trying to fold the X-Men into the MCU? With the Quicksilver character in both series in different decades with different storylines, and with Josh Brolin playng both Cable and Thanos, it wouldn't make sense.
