This was one of the most fun and entertaining anime I have seen in a long time, instead of relying on fanservice or moe jokes, Little Witch Academia is a show with light humor and a really enjoyable quest of Akko trying to be like her idol Shiny Chariot, but constantly fails at it
One of the things I like about this show is the characters, most of the characters have really distinct and likable personalities, they may not be really complex characters, but they provide an enjoyable dynamics and interactions with each other, even Akko, who can get really get annoying some parts, still is really lovable and full of personality
Other thing I like about this show is the world-building, this show such a fascinating world that makes you interested in the different types of locations the characters explore
And finally one aspect I really like is the animation and art-style, the staff did an amazing job at recreating the magic and emotion of classic Disney, with such vibrant colors and amazing character animation and expressions, and although there are times when the animation quality can be inconsistent, the show has a really amazing animation, and probably the best in the studio library
However, the show isn't perfect, mainly because of pacing issues, that some characters aren't really developed as others, some writing issues, and that some episodes aren't as good as others
But despite all its flaws, it's still a great anime series full with likable characters, good writing and humor, and amazing animation, it may not be one of the best anime ever made, but is still a show I highly recommend

'Little Witch Academia' is a beautifully animated series with great characters. I will not write much about the animation because anyone who watches a few minutes of the show will notice how well done it is. On the character side, the two leads, Akko and Diana are fantastic. Both are very strong and well developed in their roles. The (original) voice acting is good, and even the secondary characters are memorable (despite their tendencies to meld into the background). As for the story, I thought the first two seasons were well done (peaking in the second half of S2) and I cannot wait for the next adventure.
Really the only downside is that the English dub is terrible (common in anime) and that the subtitles have a few grammatical errors and sometimes do not articulate what's actually happening on screen. Overall the first two seasons of LWA are a solid 9/10 and I believe it can get to 10/10 if it continues to improve.

I going to be honest, i had not any expectative about this anime, even when i hear that wass ne of the best on 2017,
I finally watch it becuase i don't know, and i just can say WOW. I realy enjoy the series. It's fun without be inmature, the dramatic parts are fine, the history is simple but is catchy. I actually think that it becomes in one of my favorites, manly the second part. When the history had well difined the characters, starts to the main conflict, and it works.
I really think that this is the clain of anime that everybody must to watch at less once on their lives.
I put 8, but it's really an 8,4.
Despite all the god points that i describe, the history had some little mistakes.
For example, the first part of the history really fell like it's going nowhere, like a clasical students anime but with magic. From the episode 12 is when it starts to take a diferent way.
I really enjoy and I recomend it.

With such short watch time (around 9hrs total) the series is able to do so much. There is nice character development for Akko as well as for side characters, some good laughs and beautiful animation. The story is well planned and every thing connects so nicely in the end. People who had a hard time in life but they over come the circumstances will sure be able to relate with Akko. It had me in tears at times for some reason.
The thing I liked the best about this anime is that it dose not use cheap tricks used in other series. There are no cliff-hanger at the end of any episode nor at the end of the series and almost no filler screen time. Also there is no fan service, because it doesn't need to have it, as it can captivate the viewer without that.
Ten outa ten baby, one of the best anime Ive ever watched.

I am NOT among the demographic group who would normally watch anime. However, my oldest daughter loves anime and speaks the language...so she often introduces me to various anime that she thinks I'd enjoy. My favorites are the quirky ones, such as "Azumanga Daioh" or "Haikyuu!!" (a volleyball anime)...not those involving mecha or card games. I have nothing against these other types of anime...but I prefer the stranger 'little' ones...and "Little Witch Academia" is certainly different and fits this bill.
The story is very similar to the general plot of Disney's "The Owl House" but not as crazy nor Hieronymous Bosch-like! It's the story of Akko, a very eager but terrible student at all all-girls school for witches. It's a lot like the Harry Potter series...if Harry were MUCH more eager and MUCH more incompetent. It helps that some of the other characters (Sucy especially) are a lot of fun and the stories incredibly unique and fun.
Overall, a cute and enjoyable show which is available now on Netflix. And, if you do watch, you do have the choice of watching it in an English dub or, as I did, with Japanese and English subtitles.

I think its a very underrated show;. Cause this show is AMAZING! i really recommend it. I loved it, thats all i can say.
Naruto goes to hogwarts. Okay, okay that is a bad joke... I know this show is not that bad but is it? Every character seems to be interesting at the same time so predictable and boring, like this show has different characters from different anime series. All I want to say is that at times it showed so much potential yet failed to achieve it. Animation itself is very good; yep nothing else to add to it.
Akko annoyed me so much, it hurt my guts. Sometimes her actions were so cheesy and predictable that it made me want quit. I was smashing that fast forward button in so many embarrassing scenes, lost the count.... However, she has her own moments, Akko can be charming and motivating at times ; The way she looks is cute and way she acts is funny .
Yeah we have a rival who will eventually become her friend bla bla bla... but where is the antagonist? There was no real villain here... That was also huge minus.
Long story short, this show could be 8 out of 10, but it is really not.

I think most of Netflix animes are the same. The Little Witch Academy is quite boring. Its like the BNA expect that in this anime arent boy characters just 4-5.

Not for everyone, but viewers cannot seriously expect intense brutality and stereotype-infected behavior for every single anime they barely give chances to. Luna Nova isn't Hogwarts, or some other academy that was bound to be a basis for other plots? Go sob elsewhere.
Overall, the storyline is strong; the protagonist isn't a sorry archetype (unlike most nowadays), side characters are well-written, and the antagonist is impeccable. The settings are diverse, as well.
The M. C. is quite annoying in the beginning, and most resemble presets. The first season is an introduction to who they are and addresses the general conflict. Questions are asked; second season enhances and answers. The antagonist is shown by then, so please hold on as you watch. All in all, the pacing improves to grow impeccable - all external factors do.
It's a great shock, given that modern-day shows don't raise high expectations anymore. Especially the fact that it's Netflix that created it. I loved this series, and it's never failed to comfort me at all times - more engaging every rewatch.
Handle S1, EP10 with caution. Usually, LWA is child-friendly - but this is simply a filler portion that is inappropriate for most audiences. It's not in the Parent's Guide. That's all.
Thematic elements are mild, and violence/gore applies to the same degree.
I hope you enjoy it, God bless.

Overall, this show is a lot of fun to watch. The animation is smooth and unique (what else can be expected from Trigger?), the art style is quirky and eye-catching, and the character designs are all fascinating and eye-catching, the exception being Akko, whose generic look works to stress her normality compared to those around her anyways. If I did have one complaint, it would be that the world building is vague and overlooked. The magic system is nebulous and not well outlined, the concept surrounding the spirits and magical creatures isn't as explored as it could've been, and the setting itself is more vague than a thirty-second-long game review. Still, it's more than worth the time to watch it as a relatable story about a girl who won't stop climbing the latter no matter how many times she slips or gets kicked from above.

This show is both overlooked and underrated when thinking about what's dominating the anime sphere currently. A story full of magic and wonders but with subtle deeper themes, is something that should be more acknowledged.
This is one of my favorites.

Not many things deserve a 10/10 rate, but Studio TRIGGER did an absolute masterpiece with this one.
First of all, fantasy is always good because each fantasy world works diferent one from another and this one has it's own identity, explaininf the magical reason for one spell, a potion or creature; nothing is unexplained. It also presents that in this world everyone can be a witch, no need to born with magical abilities to become one like in others; with that the characters are original presenting cliches but twisting them to the limit giving a small reason of why they act like that. The story is beautiful, evolving at any point the plot lets them, this is not only related to the story; every character evolves alongside this, their cliches also break with this... sometimes.
The thing is the main protagonist is almost 100% of time the same attitude the whole duration but that makes her adorable in a special way. But others have a very strong personality since episode 1 and keeps it for long enough to make them a bit harder to forget, but as told they have a reason to be like that and they give all the explanations needed.
I don't have anything bad to say, the voices are good (i listened them in Japanese and Castillian Spanish) and for sure you will have a good time. Let yourself be bewitched by Akko and her adventures at Luna Nova, you won't regret.

Big fan any of wizarding world and the mystical lores, and this is one of those. Its a cross between harry potter & winx club. Despite having or at least felt like watching filler episodes most if the screening, i enjoyed it very much until when its coming to the end. Akko kept getting annoying making it unwatchable. A very bad potrayal of the villain, croix. Little to no character development fir sucy, lotte, diana, etc. Very limited world building aspect which made it boring to watch at end. Not surprised that its cancelled. Regardless still recommended. The best where the voice casts, sound effects and the songs.

Here is a brief summary of the 1st 3 episodes as seen by the main character.
Ep1. I'm so awesome, although I really don't know anything about magic. Let's use other witches to get my way
Ep2. Magic lessons are boring. Why am I not doing awesome things from the very 1st moment?
Ep3. There is a annual broom race(although I cannot fly yet after 3 days?) And I'm going to win, because I'm so awesome. Anyone that does not agree is a really mean person.
None of these plot points are a problem when used a greater story line, but there does not seem to be one. There is no story development, no time for events to unfold. You skip from 1 point to another without any thought.
