Though I watch Kannada movies I have never been a fan of it.But this movie has just nailed it.
Wonderful movie became a fan of Sivarajakumar sir such a subtle composed acting and to go along with beautiful tracks and BGM's.Neat clean engaging screenplay. And to mention excellent direction as well.
Loved it to the core.!!!!
1. Screenplay is so good that it engages the viewer to the screen.
2. Cinematography is beautiful. I loved the scene where Shivrajkumar faces the antagonist in a dark room and suddenly the flash of the lightening falls on his face and he starts his dialogues.
3. Treat to watch the performances of both Shivrajkumar and Srimurali.
Mufti is one of the most awaited movie of Shivanna along with Tagaru in 2017. Both the trailers seemingly stepping up Shivanna in new Avatar. The combo of Murali and Shivanna sets the screen on fire with an excellent BGM, cinematography and brilliant acting by both the lead actors. The movie is made in right pace building up to the climax without unnecessary songs which is a plus point. One would feel that the movie carries the Ugramm style of making but the concept and screenplay sets a different tone. Who else than Shivanna could have played the role of Bairathi Rangal with an apt dressing sense, body language and subtleness in acting? This should be one more landmark movie waiting to take KFI to the next level. The negative points would be the unnecessary inclusion of comedy, love scenes and dragging the sentiment of brother and sister. The highlight of the movie is BGM and new Avatar of Shivanna giving goosebumps for which I rate 10 out of 10

Mufti exceeded our expectations! Loved the simple yet powerful storyline, all actors'performance especially Shivanna, Murali and Devaraj's surprisingly terrific looks. The parts about the lead's love interest and the accompanying comedy bits should've been edited away, but it's excusable. Special mention goes to Ravi Basrur's BGM!

There's a reason why Shivarajkumar is considered the greatest in Kannada cinema, and this movie proves it yet again. Sri Murali yet again shines, proving why he is such a formidable force in any movie. I saw this movie yesterday and must admit it blew me off my feet. The Direction, camera work, cinematography, background music etc.., everything was just perfect. Everyone played a brilliant role in this movie, right from the heroes to the villains, just outstanding!
The story is about an undercover cop who goes in decoy into the underworld, lead by Shivarajkumar, to unearth the activities behind it and gather evidence to bring down the empire. Over the period of Sri Murali working as a goon for Shivarajkumar, he learns that there is a great man behind all the wrong impositions against him. The story takes you for a thrilling ride while this is being determined through great action scene's, dialogues, emotions and what not!
All I can say is this is a must watch and should be complimented by all means for its excellent delivery. I stopped watching Kannada movies for a while due to the crap one man show movies made off late where actors such as Sudeep (who was really good in the past, now crap), Darshan, Ganesh etc.., most of these actors are in movies that hardly have any story and just goes about showing inhuman feats done by them. In short words, "A One Man Show". However, this movie had story, emotion, action and everything one could expect to have a memorable time.
Sri Murali shines so well that at times he almost overshadowed Shivarajkumar but when Shivanna comes back to the scene, it goes without saying that he steals the show with his very presence, in every word, in every action. I've always loved Sri Murali for the fine actor he is and now he stands as one of my favorite, with my all time favorite, Shivanna.
10/10 at any cost! Thanks a bunch for such a great movie! I'm buying this on Blue Ray to save a copy forever as soon as I find it.

The plot of the movie starts with an undercover cop played by Sri Murali, going into the big bad world of crime - Ronapura, which is ruled by a ruthless don called Bhairathi Ranagal. What happens when the cop finds out the real face of the don? You have to watch the film to see what happens! The movie has its own unique feel to it due to the outstanding background score by Ravi Basrur and the flawless cinematography by Naveen Kumar. Even after you come out of the movie hall, the BGM will keep echoing in your ears! All the actors have given their best performances. Shivarajkumar with his versatile acting and his trademark black attire in this film is a treat to watch! The climax is emotional and heart-touching, making this one of the finest dark underworld action-crime films in Sandalwood!

Mufti is a complete movie with emotions, action, thrills, suspense. An extraordinary BGM with neat screen play. Shivanna acted beautiful with his matured new looks, The story line is very interesting, A block buster movie of 2017. Comedy scenes are exceptional in the movie but its a good movie.
Super Screenplay & Script, Fantastic Music, Wonderful performance by all the actors and awesome cinematography & camera work. Great work by the director Narthan and exceptional acting by Srimural, Shivarajakumar, Devaraj & Vashishta.
Mufti is one of the best movie I had watched, kudos to Shivaraj Kumar for choosing the Gangster role with a good heart, making is also excellent, as a corrupt politician Devaraj steals the show. Srimurali as a undercover cop really worked hard and every one can find it. But only negative point is Shanvi Srivastava who was unnecessarily added. Apart from that, it's a best action movie. Kudos to Director Narthan, who was a assistant to one of the famous director of KFI Prashanth Neel for making this masterpiece movie

I'm not sure if I watched an extra edited cut of this movie or not, but there were SOOOOO many plot holes and scenes that ended too quick or didn't make any sense at all. The overall story is pretty good, but seriously, I could barely follow along with all of the different scene cuts. One second you're watching an intense conversation and then BOOM! The next, you're watching two people drive down the road and you're left wondering what the heck just happened. I've noticed this in several movies from India, they just jump from one scene to next with no real connection as to what happened or how the movie suddenly ended up where it is now. It's frustrating. I even looked up other versions of this movie from several streaming platforms and they were all missing the same scenes. Was the movie purposefully edited together this way, or was something lost in the transition to American streaming platforms?? Or are we just supposed to connect the dots with our imaginations?

Great comeback movie to shivanna, wonderful acting, screenplay and songs....
A simple Gangster tale, yet excellently written and executed with finesse!
One of the best works of Dr. Shiva Rajkumar. Enjoyed every frame, be it with dark undertones of demonic justice, or glowing emotions towards the loved ones.
Sriimurali, Vasishta Simha, Devaraj and many other actors complete an ensemble cast. Ravi Basrur's original score is amazing.
A gem from the Kannada Film Industry!
