Mike Newell, director of Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994), Donnie Brasco (1997) and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire (2005) awarded "Commissioned" the Mike Newell Prize for Best Directing at the Film & TV Visions Festival 2017 but questioned just one shot from the film; one which involves two horses interacting with a character in a country lane, naming it the shot he understood least.
