A seemingly low-budget film makes up for every flaw with action, this brings back the old cat and mouse game, that sniper movies have.
Great soundtrack that really takes us there to the forest to see two elite snipers face each other, with traps, until the moment we all wait for, the time to pull the trigger.
It builds up nicely, to a great finale, the target gets away, but the confrontation between them is for the ages.

Solid thriller but low on reality and action, the pace is good through and it is quite enjoyable until the end where believability is pushed just a little bit too far.
If character and plot development was better planned who knows how great this movie could have been.
So, i´m still gonna give this a 7, just for the effort to make a portuguese sniper, and i love the sets.

The producers and director did something special here, with the snipers and troops, locations, weapons.
Could it have been better? Sure.
Hand-to-hand combat is always cool to watch no matter what.
But given the limitations: this movie rocked !!!
For the summary, Portuguese sniper is a very good movie in my opinion.

This movie definitely has a B-movie "look" to it.
Great action from the first to the last frame, it´s well-paced, fraught with suspense, like any other hollywood sniper movie.
As a lower budget action movie this served it's purpose well.

It's well paced.there are no spots that drag, i wasn't bored for a minute, and the two lead actors Rui Constantino and Pedro Pinecross work well off each other. Both are very well suited for this particular role and were very convincing.
A good start and i hope that post-credits scene means we´re getting a sequel.

Portuguese sniper is very good movie to watch despite the fact that it isn't a great movie or a perfect one because of its minor flaws, but then again not every movie is perfect.
The movie stars Rui Constantino that also directs has the portuguese sniper and Pedro Pinecross has the villain mercenary sniper the two of them fight to the death, and with glorious scenes of snipering.
This is a fine military action thriller.
Acting and casting is great.

The plot may be familiar, the premise of having two snipers as the protagonists is interesting.
There are some exciting moments, cool camera tricks and even some genuine tension.
The problems i found in the movie is the lack of action, only in the end we really see it, and the rebel leader was not well used, nor did he look like a real leader, he looks like a guy walking through the forest shooting, the soldiers who accompanied him had the immersive style of that environment.
In addition, it is a good short because the budget was very low,
and they managed to bring us a little of what would be a great Portuguese adventure in the world of snipers.

Deep in the jungle of Colombia, a mercenary sniper wants to kill a rebel leader but the portuguese sniper shows his skills against an incredible killer.
Portuguese Sniper does a great job of allowing us a glimpse into the world of the snipers. The rifle of the portuguese sniper is awesome in every way, and the rifle of the mercenary sniper is great also. A smart move from Constantino Filmes, that show us that even in Portugal they can make good movies and this one is a must have.

The locations where awesome, the action was great.
The screenplay works to some degree but fails to make certain connections clear and answer some questions.
Who is this mercenary sniper ? Who is the main enemy that send this mercenary to kill the rebel leader ?
Maybe in a sequel we´ll get the answers.
As for music in general it´s decent, the main actors, music, action and
camera-work are fun but it's all brainless.

The plot was simple and the acting OK, but overall I really enjoyed this movie.
The lead actor was cast perfectly. He is strong in every role I have seen him in.
All in all it was a good movie. Worth watching.

This film features a wealth of low rent action and shooting sequences and a familiar plot.
Tension never tightens but the plot and locations sustain interest for the viewer.

A good sniper movie, with all the sniper skills at the extreme on screen, the soundtrack is genious, and the actors did a terrific job.
For me it´s an 8 all the way.

The portuguese sniper vs ghost shooter is when of the best short movies ever, the tension, the scares, one bullet, one target, one of them could die at any moment, the tension of this movie is up the charts, been waiting for a sequel ever since this one came out.
10/10 for me.

Good casting, decent script, directing seems in place, acting is efficient.
The action was nicely paced throughout.
Some of the soundtrack seems to have been lifted from the Bourne series.
Portuguese Sniper is a cult movie in Portugal, and now i see why, it´s very well done, it´s full immersive in all that green, fantastic movie.
The cast does a good job, Delmar vs El Lobo is too much to take, if someone looses focus, death comes.

A jungle setting is the backdrop here, and we see two snipers, one comes to kill and the other one to prevent the assassination.
Both characters have moments of believability, it is an engaging outing, if dense and heavy handed at times.
The best scene for me, is when they fight each other, without the weapons.
Portuguese Sniper isn't an action movie but a good psychological one.

Sure the plot was predictable, but the acting was good and the action was good. So that made it up for the movie having a very generic and straight forward plot.
The sniping sequences were especially good, which did add a lot of flavor to the movie.

A jungle setting is the backdrop here as the portuguese sniper tries to stop a mercenary sniper from fullfill his mission.
Both characters have moments of believability, this can be enjoyed by the action and military fans that want their fiction to rely on psychology as much as patriotism.

Thoroughly enjoyed this.
Keep watching and you will discover a movie that has good and evil set straight in it's sights.
I'm most impressed by the fact that a film that I expected absolutely nothing from ended up being worthwhile.
The ending leaves space for a sequel, if it happens i´ll see it.

This is a film that the title alone would sell to a market.
It reminds us of Call of Duty the sniper parts are the best.
The plot has some depth but this movie isn't really about making you think.
For lovers of action movies, offers an 28 minutes of action that with a bit of trimming would have made a more satisfying movie.
