The film was originally shot in 2014.
In order to complete the film, director Matt Colvin had to shoot a few inserts of Alice talking to Emily on the phone. However, all of Emily's lines were recorded via a phone call with actress Sam Lee during the original shoot in 2014. This created a problem in editing since only audio footage of Sam existed. In 2019 actress Victoria Baxter stood in for Emily and lip synced to Lee's dialogue. The same camera from the original shoot was used for the inserts keeping the visuals consistent.
It took Director Matt Colvin five years to find a composer for the film. The film being a passion project meant that no money could be offered to score the film. Eventually Lane Silva was brought on board. For compensation, Colvin offered him the role of composer on his next feature if they worked well together.
Director Matthew Colvin makes an uncredited cameo as Alice's fiance James.
Alice's fiance is named James Davenport. The name Davenport is a nod to Director Matthew Colvin's Grandfather.
