I watched this solely for Emily Kinney. Been a fan ever since The Walking Dead. I will say her performance is phenomenal in this movie. Breckin Meyer also does a nice job. This movie takes serious subject matters and presents them in a sarcastic way. The script could have been better with how these matters were talked about. It just comes across as offensive. And the thing is, the talent was there. The best scenes in the movie were focused on Kinney and Meyer. The story suffers with dry humor. It should have told a much more emotional story than what was on the screen. Overall would not recommend this movie unless your a fan of Emily Kinney or Breckin Meyer.

It feels like this movie was written by someone who has no idea what they're talking about but wishes they did so badly. Is the point money can't make you happy? Because we all know being broke in this day and age is enough to push anyone over the edge. Emily and Breckin are great actors and that is the "saving grace", but if you're not interested in them then I wouldn't even bother. If you have real experience with suicidal ideations and depression, this will probably just piss you off. There are some points in the story where dry humor could work, but again, the writer does not truly understand this, and I am not sure they have to capacity or depth to be telling this story.
This is a movie that will tug on your heartstrings. It handles a very serious topic in a very realistic way, and that's what I love about it. It doesn't overly-dramatize this particular story, but it also doesn't undersell the amount of pain Casey is going through.
I thoroughly enjoyed the humorous bits, but I also really enjoyed the more serious talks between Casey and Jess. I only wish more people like Jess existed because we could all use a friend like that.
I honestly wasn't expecting the ending to go the way it did, but I will just say that this is a movie that you won't forget.
We all know that not everyone makes it; some of us have more fight in us than others, and that's what speaks volumes about this film.
The Enormity of Life is truly an art: you cannot save people, you can only love them. They've got to do their own bit of saving, and oftentimes, it's our lack of desire to get it, that makes us our own worst enemy. Love truly does inspire, and it does make us do crazy things.
Love this unique story and it's definitely a movie I'd recommend.

A number of topics addressed in this film made it quite difficult viewing, due to personal experiences.
But it had me hooked and I just couldn't stop watching.
Absolutely amazing film.

While I'm not exactly sure where this movie fits in the MCU timeline but it doesn't really matter because it was such a well done piece of film making. The actors really make the characters feel real and the story is so well constructed that the ending makes complete sense. We don't see enough thoughtful and character-driven movies these days so this was an unexpected surprise. It says the runtime was 102 minutes but the movie was so entertaining that the time flew by. I highly recommend this movie.

Quirky, jarring, touching, and overall unconventional plot which makes it a really unique film. I was reminded of other "broke the mold" stories like Harold & Maude, Being There, and Little Miss Sunshine but even then there's not much else to compare this remarkable dramedy-romance to. All the principal actors do amazing jobs with their performances, and issues of mental illness, PTSD, and living with trauma all come to light in this very powerful and unpredictable film.

It was a comedy and a drama and a love story and wow! I felt every emotion possible in an hour and a half. This movie leaves you thinking. My teen daughter and I talked about many important topics for hours after watching it.

This film portrays a very unique perspective from how you can be down in life no one ever being there for you and you always having to be the strong one. To being introduced to love in life when you have never seen anything like it, but pain and suffering. This really does show the struggles and worries of life in so many perspectives showing that you can still find love and happiness amongst all of the problems in life. This film is a whirlwind of emotions from when we first meet Casey who has had enough of life to when we come across Jess and Jules that provided Casey with the love that he never got. They are kind of like a family that works through problems by helping each other whilst finding times of laughter and joy. I am glad I came across this film it leaves you feeling happy and sad at the same time as it is very bittersweet, therefore overall I highly recommended anyone watching this film it really does bring up some emotional topics that needs to be talked about more in life. A big well done to the cast and crew for bringing such an emotional story to our screens and a special mention to Emily Kinney who portrayed Jess, Breckin Meyer who portrayed Casey and of course the amazing Giselle Eisenberg who portrayed Jules, as I am very impressed with all of their performances as it is such hard emotional topics to portray on screen and they all smashed it congratulations.

A true lives emotional scarred stories, that all look for a piece of peace or happiness.
Not an ordinary movie, with great acting and real sense of life.
Enjoy it as it reveals itself!

All three stars give incredible performances which leave them playing characters that feel real and nuanced. This movie is hard to define. Because there are a lot of comedic moments that are balanced with the heaviness of the material. You will be talking about this movie afterwards.

I followed the making of this movie for years and was so excited to finally see it. I've loved the three main actors from previous movies/TV. They worked so amazing together. Everything felt REAL. The comedy, the drama, the darkness, life. You were quickly invested in these characters and their journey. I loved it.
Even though the movie was a bit of a downer at times, it was a movie i kept thinking about the next day. I loved all the characters in the movie and the actors did a great job. Lots of twists and turns and the finale was a bit of a shocker. Well worth a watch.

Beautifully written and acted film about mental health, family, small towns, and healing. I didn't know what to expect when tackling such heavy topics. But the film delves into it with heart and humor.

This was a heavy, yet somehow light spirited, film. It hit on many of my own feelings of depression and angst, and of the moments of joy sprinkled throughout life. Character development was great. Emotions wavered between each scene. I was thankful for the very real and frank talk on mental health.
I bought it because it was based in Cleveland and wanted to see what parts of town were shown, but it was so much more than that. I'd definitely recommend it!
