This crime comedy from Japan is a bit of a mixed bag where slapstick comedy and absurdist parody collide in a crime milieu of rival gangs and bosses. The appearance of a mysterious assassin prompts panicked bosses to adopt a "more is more" approach, hiring a whole bevy of eccentric assassins to both protect them and hunt down the enigmatic "Joe of Spades." The result is a film that is frequently amusing, occasionally funny and consistently engaging.
A guy get assassinated and his comrades hire a lot of assassins to protect themselves and someone else hires assassins to kills those.....
First let us go into is this movie funny? Well that is a matter of taste. Some people will find it hilarious I am sure. All parts of the comedy is overacted and the assassins are silly in a stupid way. I could see some of the things could have been funny with a different delivery. But I just did find all the assassins too stupid and silly for the jokes to work.
I am sure some people will love this movie but I wonder why I stuck with it to the end. And the end I think was failed too.
