Well, its basic, it wouldnt look out of place on the 360, its very samey, but it has moments where its fun, entertaining and addictive. It has elements of being an old school shooter/platformer but there is no direction and no reason to really do anything.
I am fortunate to have got it free with game pass and for that subscription i would only recommend getting this game. Its not worth the retail price and it really doesnt bring anything to the Xbox One.
If you want some fairly easy achievements and something to pass the time, then go for it, but do not play with high expectations as it will only ruin the experience.

If your dying to replay crackdown 1 then this is the game, but as a 2019 release, just wasn't good enough. Simply no new features or even story line. The game is set up to exactly the same, and boss battles repetitive and too easy. The final boss fight although takes a while to climb to the top fails to challenge even the beginner gamers, too easy and over within the minute.
All I would add is the 7/10 is only achieved due to my love to the original and the fun in simple arcade style gameplay and free with the games pass. Just really wished for a more complete and developed game.

The only good thing is the opening cutscene. The graphics are wonderful, Terry Crew's performance was exciting, and then it all goes downhill. The story is soooo bland. Big bad corporation wants to take over the world. Terry Crews barely says anything, the gameplay is extremely repetitive it's like do this 10 times and then do a slightly different version 10 times until you get a mediocre boss battle. Awful game not even worth downloading for free.

Love it, literally on it for hours, technically a carbon copy, exactly what I wanted, lots of side missions involving destruction and orb collecting.
