Was a cute movie for a late-night bingefest. I watched this movie and one other in one sitting, except for some bathroom breaks LOL I thought it was clever and just fun, easy watching

Didn't expect it's good when watching first 15 minutes. Probably the cast too weak. But after keep watching, it's quite fun n suggest if watch this movie, pls with patience.
John (Steve Howey) & Katie Kelly (Eliza Coupe) are finally moving into their dream home. Once they settle in, it's evident that the two have desires to fall pregnant and begin a whole new chapter of their life. But it turns out that falling pregnant isn't always an easy, simple task. Unable to fall pregnant, John & Katie soon discover that the fulfilment of their desires will take a lot more work than expected as they seek advice, begin medial treatment and tests with support from both friends and family.
Naturally this type of film will only attract a certain range of movie lovers (particularly those who have had children or who can relate to a similar journey and the frustration of making a baby). It's a tricky topic to tackle, but thankfully the film does a great job at balancing the humour and heart necessary. Needless to say the best jokes are ones that are rather awkward, such as Katie's mum sharing about her sex life during a wedding service and questioning John's... well, you know.
Actors Steve Howey & Eliza Coupe work really positively as the leading characters and were truly convincing on screen as a couple. The jokes and most of the heartfelt moments of this film generally came from the leading actors (well, at least for me it did).
The film also has multiple side characters who also try and bring the laughs by using random dialogue. Sadly this didn't always work for me. Also, certain scenes had camera movements which seemed shaky and actually became uncomfortable for the viewer.
Overall, while Making Babies isn't a film for everyone, I feel it will be enjoyed by audience members who can relate to trying to fall pregnant and the efforts it can take to see the major miracle of a baby. There are some jokes to be had but some jokes don't always land a laugh either. The film has some heart which was also surprising to see.

What a load of boring useless nonscence of entertainment.this is a comedy give me a break this us comedy death That's all I have to say
This is such a good and funny film that tackles a topic that's not popularly discussed but is very true in our society. I like it very much that the film showed the really bad sides of the couples relationship and the good responses the couple made in them. It's a nice watch on an easy Weekend.

Probably the biggest problem with this movie, is that it isn't clear if it is a comedy or a drama. It is funny, it is cute, but the dramatization is weak. And it is there that I missed the point. The purpose was to produce a light movie, but at some point it goes on characters, and it makes it complicated. I'd prefer something more clear, either as a comedy or as a drama. Next time don't try to achieve both in such kind of movie, please.
My husband and I just finished watching this movie. We tried for our daughter for nearly 7years. A great comedic film to a very stressful issue! This movie hit a lot of the emotions people go through and makes fun of the hard times and the situations you find yourself in with others that have never struggled. Great movie, I wish they would make more movies like this!
As a woman dealing with IVF I loved this movie; not just because there were parts I could relate too, but because it made me laugh. This process is the most painful thing to go through and yes sometimes you have to laugh at how sucky the situation is and this movie got it. It was serious and funny. Definitely a great watch!

This is trully a good comedy for all of you that has or have had difficulties making a baby the natural way. you might think this is some cheap take on the subject, but its actually what you meet when you enters this pretty expensive carousell ,or merry go around as a deed of making your herritage flow further.
the acting and especially the editing are very nice. so if you want to have a good laugh of people striving hard to get what everyone else can dig out with a snap of a finger, then the grumpy old man recommends.refreshing....

I have 3 children and the wonderful godparents to my kids have been struggling to conceive for while so this movie hit a little different for me. I can't imagine how hard it is to go through this struggle and the strain it could put on a relationship. I felt this was a well balanced approach to showing that struggle. It showed the pain but had enough humor to lighten the punch to the gut. It's a sensitive and difficult subject and I think they handled it perfectly.

Very cute movie. Good cast. Very relatable. Funny parts. Sad parts. Happy parts. Eliza Coupe is always great! Enjoyable. Just an overall cute movie. If you're a youngin', you won't relate or enjoy this movie so don't bother. No one needs the negative reviews because you can't relate. Enjoy!
