Bizarrely enough, not only does the director of this children's film, James Cullen Bressack direct horror movies when pursuing his own projects, but made an extremely violent and controversial horror film, Hate Crime (2012) which the BBFC thought so disturbing they outright banned it.
The protagonist is a combination of Jackson Storm from Cars 3 and Tony from Video Brinquedo's The Little Cars series.
