After being canceled and removed from Paramount+, “Star Trek Prodigy” has found a new streaming home: Netflix.

The series will debut on the streamer later in 2023. Additionally, a second season of the series is currently in production and is slated to debut on Netflix in 2024.

No, it’s Clark Kent and Lois Lane in an all-new, family-friendly animated series with Jack Quaid (“The Boys”) and Alice Lee (“Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist”) voicing America’s most recognizable super-sweethearts. HBO Max and Cartoon Network announced a two-season series order for “My Adventures With Superman,” which follows the Man of Steel and the dogged Daily Planet reporter in their twenties, as well as their best friend Jimmy Olsen, as they begin to discover who they are and everything they can accomplish together as an investigative news team.

The serialized, coming-of-age story sees Superman build up his secret identity and embrace his role as the hero of Metropolis, while Lois, now a star journalist, takes aspiring photographer Jimmy under her wing. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love, sharing adventures and taking down bad guys.

Over the Moon, an animated feature heads to Netflix in October, showcasing an aesthetically impressive, awe-inspiring tale of wonder and randomly-erupting musical sequences that’s out to prove that Disney+ isn’t the only place on which its genre flourishes.

The film focuses on the exploits of a young Asian-American girl, who—having been entranced by a myth about a goddess who accidentally floated away from her true love to be exiled on the moon—embarks on a cosmic endeavor of building a rocket for a lunar visit of her own. Despite the problematic practicalities of its plot mechanics, Over the Moon appears destined to become a family-aimed crowd-pleaser, and also serves as valuable representation for a demographic that’s infrequently set in a protagonist capacity in Western features.

Netflix has ordered new animated kids show, Sharkdog, from ViacomCBS International Studios (Vis).

The streamer has ordered 20 episodes of the 7-minute show, created by Singaporean creator Jacinth Tan that will air in 2021. The show is produced by Vis in partnership with Singaporean based CGI animation studio One Animation.

It marks Vis’ first internationally originated global animated series for Netflix.

Netflix and Nickelodeon announced today that they’ve formed a multi-year output deal to produce original animated feature films and television series. The kid and family-targeted films and series will be based on both Nickelodeon’s existing library of original characters and new IP.

“Nickelodeon’s next step forward is to keep expanding beyond linear platforms, and our broader content partnership with Netflix is a key path toward that goal,” said Brian Robbins, President of Nickelodeon, in a statement.

Robbins added, “The Nickelodeon Animation Studio is home to the world-class artists and storytellers behind some of the most iconic characters and shows ever made, and our head of Animation, Ramsey Naito, has been building on that legacy over the past year by ramping up development and production exponentially. The ideas and work at our Studio are flowing, and we can’t wait to work with Melissa and the Netflix team...

Fans have been eagerly anticipating the return of Jhonen Vasquez’s “Invader Zim” with the release of a new Netflix film titled “Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus”. Despite only lasting two seasons on Nickelodeon, the 2000’s animated series made a huge impact on pop culture and was beloved by fans. The show, which features a small and quite angry alien attempting to take over the earth, pushed boundaries as many of the episodes featured some pretty dark themes for an animated series. Well, the “doom” is about to strike again, as “Invader Zim: Enter The Florpus” is now currently available on Netflix! 14 years ago, Nickelodeon put the kabosh on the Invader Zim animated series. Since then, the series has collected a cult following, causing the long-running children's channel to bring back our beloved Zim & co. for another go, this time with their own movie! At Sdcc 2018, Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus became the highlight of the Nickelodeon panel, which brought back all of the originals from the animated show Richard Horvitz (Zim), Rikki Simons (Gir), Wally Wingert (Almighty Tallest Red) and Kevin McDonald (Almighty Tallest Purple), and Invader Zim: Enter the Florpus art director Jenny Goldberg.
