Philip Bailey & Phil Collins: Easy Lover

A spectacle to the senses in the middle 1980's, the revolutionary encounter of Philip Bailey and Phil Collins was a smash hit (Collins was the producer of Bailey's solo album, played instruments and also provided backing vocals). The music video is lots of fun and also a somewhat crazed idea as the completed material showcases a behind the scenes of making of the video, then the actual video as Collins & Bailey sing and rehearse "Easy Lover".

Unusual but fun to watch, but be warned that at some bits you won't hear the song as designed, you can hear the artists performing on lower keys since it's an edited moment before the actual taping. They dance and joke around, and the usual charisma of Oscar/Grammy award winning Collins always conquers viewers.

The song was a smash hit, with an amazing beat, rhythm and the fusion of voices from both artists, former Genesis frontman and Earth Wind & Fire member).

A sort of companion piece to Hall & Oates "Maneater" as they both deal with men succumbing by the charm and power of beautiful (and complicated) women around them - and both songs are duos. Excellent music triumph, definitely an unforgettable favorite of mine through the years. 9/10.
