I love the Monster High movies, so I thought I would give the show a try. These are, unfortunately, nothing like the movies. They are dull and way too short. I lost interest in every single one I would start. I wish they were longer and more story- centered than just quick snippets of stories. I did like the voices and the animation, though.
The Ghoul Squad episodes, however, are by far the worst of them all. That animation is horrible and the story is worse than before. You barely get to see any of the guys in the series. Plus, I really dislike a lot of the voice actresses for the characters.

This show is my childhood. I love it so much and its so inspiring for young people! It teaches you to be yourself and teaches about friendship.
Monster High had its popularity for a few years. The little girls were obsessed with the dolls and the TV show. Monster High was the dark version of the barbie.
The TV show was like any cartoon, except it focused on a few girls. They all had the cliché personalities, stories and appearance.
MH was an innocent, dark, monster theme show that touched base on various teen problems. Again it was all cliché and had no real value to it all.
Overall, a good show with a good theme song. MH wasn't entirely a show for dumbing down girls, although it lacked value.
Last Words: Monster High was just another fad.

I honestly never understood why this show was popular in the first place. A generic series about teenagers going to school with the difference that the characters are the stereotype of girls who are a bunch of mary-sues because they are the daughters of famous horror movie monsters? And to think this was only created because Mattel wanted to make money from young girls using vampires based on the 2010 Twilight hit.
The characters are totally unlikeable: Frankie is a bland main character, Draculaura is a whiny and spoiled girl who gets everything in the way she wants easily, Cleo is just a generic rich and spoiled girl, Ghoulia is a annoying nerd (who doesn't even look like a nerd to begin with) that just like Draculaura gets everything in the way she wants, Clawdeen and Lagoona are the most okay characters. I also don't like how this show has a HUGE amount of characters just to sell more dolls, but is unable to develop all of them, always focusing on the annoying protagonists.
Not to mention the terrible character design of the characters, even though they are supposed to be monsters, many just look like drag queens with colored skins. For example, Cleo, Clawdeen and Ghoulia don't look like a mummy, a werewolf and a zombie respectively. They're just generic teenagers who only care about beauty and looks, which is ridiculous when you remember that they're supposed to be monsters. Not to mention the plot of the episodes which are all poorly written, are poorly animated, rushed or trying to be hip using things like Twilight and Justin Bieber to try to be relevant with teenagers.
