She spends her time between prostitution, trying to control her inner anger, and an inner speech full of abstractions with no desire to find herself. A film with no connection or path, in other words, it is a film that drowns.

I saw Drowning at a film festival in 2019 (the Italian Contemporary Film Festival), and this film was dark, brooding, surprising, at times disturbing, and in the end, unexpected. For an small independent film, the cast and crew made the film look bigger than its budget. Highly recommended for a watch, just put the kids to bed first.
