Martha Stewart and José Andrés, friends from the food world, are teaming up for a new cooking competition series coming to NBC.

The pair will host and exec produce Yes, Chef! for the network.

The series comes from Magical Elves, the company behind Top Chef and Nailed It!, and Religion of Sports. 

The series will put 12 highly skilled chefs, who have been nominated by their bosses, co-workers, friends and even family, through the ultimate test, per the logline. Stewart and Andrés will guide the chefs each week through a series of culinary challenges designed to test and overcome their personal issues. The chefs will have to prove they have the culinary chops and the right attitude to make it to the end. The chef who handles the heat, impressing with both their food and teamwork while improving their behavior, will take home the $250,000 grand prize, provided by granola brand Purely Elizabeth.

Hulu has debuted the first photos from the upcoming Original film Summer of 69, which will debut on the streaming service later this year.

Marking Jillian Bell’s feature directorial debut, Summer of 69 is set to make its world premiere at SXSW this March.

In the film, an awkward high school senior hires an exotic dancer to help seduce her longtime crush before graduation, leading to unexpected friendship and lessons in self-confidence, acceptance, and adulthood.

Las Vegas’ newest residency isn’t a musical act, it’s an opportunity to taste everything Netflix has to offer.

Netflix says that it will open its latest experiential project on the casino floor at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Feb. 20: a new outpost of its Netflix Bites full-service restaurant.

Netflix first tested out the food concept in Los Angeles in 2023, but while that experience lasted about six weeks and was focused mostly on dinner service, the new Netflix Bites is being described as a “residency,” a longer-term project than the L.A. popup.

The Las Vegas version of Netflix Bites will also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week.

Exclusive: 32 Flavors, the production company behind series including Vanderpump Rules, has a new President.

The company, which was founded by Alex Baskin last year, has hired former Netflix reality exec Jenn Levy, one of the team responsible for smash hit dating show Love Is Blind.

Levy, who left Netflix earlier this year, will report to Baskin. The pair previously worked together at Bravo, where they developed the concept for Vanderpump Rules.

She was most recently VP, Unscripted at Netflix, where she was also responsible for shows such as Queer Eye, Nailed It!, and The Ultimatum. She was with Netflix since 2017, having joined as Director of Unscripted Originals from NBCUniversal’s Bravo, where she had spent nine years. CBS has ordered an unscripted series based on its iconic crime drama – The Real CSI: Miami.

It comes from CSI creator Anthony Zuiker, Jerry Bruckheimer, who has produced the franchise and Nailed It! and Top Chef producer Magical Elves.

The series will feature real-life crime cases and the cutting-edge forensic science used to solve them.

CBS Entertainment President Amy Reisenbach recently teased that there was another CSI project in development. Watch out, fans of Nailed It!, a bigger and more intense baking show is coming to Netflix in the form of The Big Nailed It Baking Challenge.

Similar to its predecessor, the offshoot will feature 10 amateur chefs attempting to bake a variety of confections from plain vanilla to cake in the shape of pizza. However, the grand prize is a whopping $100,000 to the last wannabe chef standing instead of Nailed It!‘s $10,000 per episode. In addition, two professional pastry chefs will guide the contestants through all of the slip-ups and disasters as seen in the trailer above.

Departing “Top Chef” host Padma Lakshmi was thrilled to earn her fifth Emmy nod for Outstanding Host For A Reality Or Competition Program on Wednesday. But that wasn’t her only accolade this year.

As an executive producer of “Top Chef,” she also shares in the show’s nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program, and her Hulu series “Taste the Nation,” where she serves double duty as host and executive producer, earned its own nomination for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series Or Special.

“I’m over the moon here in Sicily!!! I am elated and honored to be nominated for both shows since ‘Taste The Nation’ is my passion project and it’s my last hoorah on “Top Chef,” Lakshmi said via a statement. “Thank you so much to everyone who voted and supported us, both my crews!! It feels great to end my tenure on “Top Chef” with a nomination for the show.

The Television Academy recognized 34 performers of color across acting and reality hosting Primetime Emmy nomination categories, a figure that is +3 from last year’s 31, and higher than 2019 when there were only 26 non-Caucasian actors and reality hosts.

2021 continues to hold the record for diverse Emmy nominees at 49, that year propelled by nominees for Disney+’s Hamilton movie musical and HBO’s fantasy drama, Lovecraft Country.

Survivor is back in the Emmy race. The CBS competition series has landed a nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program – its first nom in this category since 2006 for its 11th and 12th season.

The show will compete against CBS peer The Amazing Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Top Chef and The Voice.

Last year, the category was won by Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, which was not eligible this year as it hasn’t had a second season, and Nailed It! was also nominated.

It’s a big nod for Survivor, which was previously regularly nominated in the early 2000s, but had fallen out of favor with Academy voters.

Survivor is nominated for its 43/44 seasons, which premiered in September 2022 and March 2023 respectively.

Magical Elves, the production company behind Bravo’s “Top Chef” and Netflix’s “Nailed It!,” has hired Noah Livingston as senior vice president of development, the company said Thursday.

Livingston will develop competition formats across multiple genres, docuseries, and premium documentaries, and will report to executive vice president of development, Dan Goldsack, and co-CEOs Jo Sharon and Casey Kriley.

“Magical Elves is an unscripted powerhouse within the industry,” Livingston said. “I’m honored to join Jo, Casey, Dan and the rest of the team, developing dynamic and engaging content that offers large-scale entertainment appeal.”

The company behind Bravo’s Top Chef and Netflix’s Nailed It! has hired Noah Livingston as SVP, Development.

Livingston previously ran his own production company Batterie Pictures and also exec produced last year’s History’s Greatest Heists with Pierce Brosnan. He previously worked for Simon Cowell’s Syco Entertainment and Fremantle.

Joining at the end of last year, Livingston reports to EVP, Development Dan Goldsack and co-CEOs Jo Sharon and Casey Kriley. He has been tasked with developing competition formats across multiple genres, docuseries and documentaries.
