Las Vegas’ newest residency isn’t a musical act, it’s an opportunity to taste everything Netflix has to offer.
Netflix says that it will open its latest experiential project on the casino floor at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas on Feb. 20: a new outpost of its Netflix Bites full-service restaurant.
Netflix first tested out the food concept in Los Angeles in 2023, but while that experience lasted about six weeks and was focused mostly on dinner service, the new Netflix Bites is being described as a “residency,” a longer-term project than the L.A. popup.
The Las Vegas version of Netflix Bites will also serve breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days per week.

However, since the late 2010s, they have also built out a huge roster of Netflix original Christmas movies, many of which take place in an interconnected universe. This includes the Princess Switch and A Christmas Prince trilogies, A Castle for Christmas, and The Knight Before Christmas. However, they also have many other holiday-themed offerings including holiday versions...

As host of Netflix’s reality series bake-off competition Nailed It!, Nicole Byer liked to keep things light and fun; however, she confessed that she once made a contestant cry after comparing her cake to “baby s***.” The comedian appeared on Jesse Tyler Ferguson‘s podcast, Dinner’s on Me, on Tuesday, August 6, where she opened up about her time hosting the hit show from 2018 to 2022. For those unfamiliar, Nailed It! sees three amateur bakers competing to replicate complicated cakes and confectionery to win a $10,000 cash prize. Per Entertainment Weekly, Byers told Ferguson that she once told a woman that her “frosting color looked like baby s***,” quipping in front of the cameras that the contestant’s dessert looked “like I opened a diaper.” “It was like caramel-y green,” Byer explained, recalling the exact shade of the frosting. “It’s like specific and like stuck in my memory.” However, things...

Fans of subpar pizza, cheap novelty prizes, ball pits with unknown horrors at the bottom of the vinyl, and arcade games that are always coated in a layer of sticky kid slime worried that this marked the end of Charles Entertainment Cheese's empire.
But according to a recent newsbreak from The Hollywood Reporter, it certainly sounds like the corporation that gave us similarly brilliant ideas like "Putting Pasqually's Pizza on DoorDash and UberEats during the quarantine era of the pandemic so people don't realize they're ordering Chuck E. Cheese birthday party pizza" is getting into the reality game show business.

RuPaul, the host of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” has won the Emmy for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program and continues to reign as the most-awarded host in Emmys history.
This marks the eighth consecutive win for RuPaul, who also holds the record for most wins by a person of color.
During his speech, the producer and host said, “I’m so proud to be a part of this medium, you invited me to be a part of this. You are my family.” He went on to thank his family and World of Wonder producers Randy Barbato and Fenton Bailey.
He shared a story about being “at the bottom” and sleeping on his friend Larry Tee’s couch. “He told me, ‘These are terrible times. Remember who you are, don’t give up.'” Speaking to the audience, RuPaul said, “I want to tell all these kids out here in the business,...

In 2018, Chicago chef Joe Flamm was crowned the winner of Top Chef: Colorado. The meal that clinched his victory was an ambitious Italian feast consisting of tortellini en brodo, ribeye with a smoked bone marrow sauce, and a wagyu-dusted play on tonno vitellato — a showcase of pure culinary prowess.
That same year, social media coordinator and amateur baker Elena Timman won the debut episode of Netflix’s Nailed It! with what was meant to be a Sylvia Weinstock-inspired wedding cake. The prize-winning cake’s prevailing components: it was upright, edible, and bore a texture that the judges deemed “Ok.” While a greatly limited skill set would have likely gotten Flamm laughed out of the kitchen, it was enough to earn Timman $10,000 and heartfelt praise from the judging panel, which included the late Weinstock herself.

How intense is the pressure of being CEO of HBO? You’re constantly calling Kim Cattrall, enduring the other execs at Craig’s passive aggressively asking how “Max” is going, and ever since his show ended, dealing with John Wilson filming outside your house. But the worst part of the job is that TV critics can just say whatever they want, like it’s a college campus before 2010. So who can blame the HBO head for carving out a few hours of his day to seek revenge on those critics?
But it all fell apart Nov. 1, when Rolling Stone revealed that six tweets mocking TV critics who wrote negative reviews about HBO shows were actually composed at the direction of Max CEO Casey Bloys under fake names. Most were posted by the account @KellySh33889356, who was “Kelly Shepherd,” a blond “Mom. Texan. Herbalist” who wears a tasteful black striped button...

No one can make a cake in 90 minutes. Ok, maybe it’s possible to bake a cake, but an anti-gravity tea party cake or groundhog pop-up cake? No way. Yet that’s how much time Nailed It! gives its below-average bakers to put together delicious intricate creations.Compare that to a show like Food Network’s Summer Baking Championship, in which teams of two professional bakers get two hours and 30 minutes to bake and decorate similar cakes. It hardly seems fair.

The Television Academy recognized 34 performers of color across acting and reality hosting Primetime Emmy nomination categories, a figure that is +3 from last year’s 31, and higher than 2019 when there were only 26 non-Caucasian actors and reality hosts.
2021 continues to hold the record for diverse Emmy nominees at 49, that year propelled by nominees for Disney+’s Hamilton movie musical and HBO’s fantasy drama, Lovecraft Country.
There were only two Emmy categories this year which were completely devoid of nominees from a diverse background: Drama Lead Actress and Comedy Lead Actor. Survivor is back in the Emmy race. The CBS competition series has landed a nomination for Outstanding Reality Competition Program – its first nom in this category since 2006 for its 11th and 12th season.
The show will compete against CBS peer The Amazing Race, RuPaul’s Drag Race, Top Chef and The Voice.
Last year, the category was won by Lizzo’s Watch Out For The Big Grrrls, which was not eligible this year as it hasn’t had a second season, and Nailed It! was also nominated.

This year, for the fifth time in Emmys history, the number of nomination slots in the Best Reality Host category has decreased from six to five. Although all but one of the four previous cases resulted in full slates of immediate repeat nominees, Gold Derby’s users have come to a solid consensus that, this time, only four 2022 contenders will return and that they will be joined by first-timer Alan Cumming (“The Traitors”). Given the boldness of this prediction in such an instance, the idea of a previously nominated but long ignored host making a comeback should also be explored, since that outcome is statistically just as likely.
Cumming sits in fifth place on our odds-based predictions list behind seven-time consecutive winner RuPaul (“RuPaul’s Drag Race”), the “Queer Eye” quintet, Nicole Byer (“Nailed It!”) and Padma Lakshmi (“Top Chef”). Despite having precedent in their favor, the six-person “Shark Tank” team...

The best baking shows on Netflix feature tantalizing confectionary treats and don't always have to veer into the territory of break-neck reality TV competition. Netflix has a variety of original and licensed content, but one of the most popular genres is cooking and baking shows. Zumbo's Just Desserts, for example, hosted by pastry chef Adriano Zumbo, shows the Australian Willy Wonka and his own dessert competition series, seeing some marvelous sweets. Another popular property from across the pond, The Great British Baking Show, is one of the most low-key but addictive reality competitions on television.
The best baking competition shows do more than showcase delicious desserts, though. They are an opportunity for experienced bakers to gain recognition, aspiring bakers to further hone their craft, and viewers to explore baking. If you've seen Netflix's Nailed It!, then you know Wes Bahr, the behind-the-scenes, self-proclaimed trophy boy who host Nicole Byer hilariously summons to fulfill her every given need. Wes has brought martinis for guest judges, along with trophies (that he always forgets) and baking stand mixers to the contestants, all while wearing a ridiculous costume. For five seasons, curiosity surrounding Wes has grown, and fans want to know more about him. He is a silent man, but he brings a lot of laughs. So, who is the charmer with the great hair?
While Wes has been featured more and more on the hit show Nailed It!, he seems to not mind his newfound fame. Nicole said she thinks Wes may be embarrassed in front of guest judges, but he secretly loves the attention he is receiving. Nicole has said in the past that Wes is a good sport about appearing on Nailed It!
