Apple TV+’s Severance has emerged as one of the streaming platform’s most successful projects. It has captivated audiences with its thrilling storyline and mind-bending narrative. A biotechnology company, Lumon Industries, performs an eerie medical procedure, called Severance on its employees. This makes for the central plot of the show.
Severance follows Mark Scout (Adam Scott), a Lumon employee who undergoes a complex procedure that separates his work and personal memories, splitting his personality into two. This results in him and other Lumon employees having two separate lives. It is a psychological thriller drama that unfolds right in front of your eyes and leaves you unnerved and fascinated.

Only last month, Severance returned to screens with a new season after three long years. The years-long anticipation ensured that Severance did not get affected by the sophomore curse that many TV shows go through. Instead, Severance...

It's pretty safe to say that Spider-Man is one of the biggest superheroes in comic book history. For that reason, it's no surprise that he's also one of the biggest in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, he might not be as tenured as some of the original Avengers in that franchise, but he very quickly became one of the most popular in the MCU after his debut appearance in 2016's Captain America: Civil War.
Portrayed by Tom Holland, the webslinger has made his presence felt in the form of his own trilogy, as well as continuing to play a major role in ensemble movies such as the Avengers franchise. He's now set to return in both of those MCU subfranchises in the very near-future, with a new Spider-Man trilogy and two Avengers appearances already scheduled in the years ahead.

Heading into “SNL50: The Homecoming Concert,” it was clear that the event was going to be a celebration of all things “Saturday Night Live.” After all, it’s right there in the concert’s name. What’s more surprising is how Peacock’s Friday night concert morphed into a joyous love letter to live TV itself.
Between the scope of its performances, the truly remarkable camerawork and the confidence of an endless roster of comedians who professionally perform live, the concert captured the edge-of-a-knife feeling “SNL” has always elicited while also blowing that feeling up to its most extreme and lavish form.
The performance itself belonged to Lorne Michaels and The Roots, both of whom received so many shoutouts and thank yous, it feels silly to even keep count. But inside the room, the insider audience fought between wanting to go all out and trying to keep its cool...

Years later, Lady Gaga is poking fun at those pesky rumors with an era-appropriate pop culture banger.
The 14-time Grammy winner joined Andy Samberg onstage Friday at Radio City Music Hall for SNL50: The Homecoming Concert, where they began performing her A Star Is Born track “Shallow” before deciding to do a selection more in Samberg’s “vocal range.”
“There is one song, but Justin [Timberlake’s] not here to do his parts,” he said, to which Gaga replied, “Andy, don’t be a b*tch. I’ll do it with you.”
The pair then launched into a performance of The Lonely Island’s “Dick in a Box” from the 2006 SNL Christmas episode.

It began with 2008’s “Iron Man,” a film that introduced the world to Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark with the hint that he could be part of something greater. Over 30 films later, the story of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is still being told, albeit with various tributaries and detours that introduce new characters and new worlds that may or may not cross paths one day. Each film in the MCU stands on its own to some degree, but like building blocks, they all connect as part of one interconnected universe. And in that way, watching the Marvel movies in order tells one grand story.
There are a couple of different ways to watch the Marvel movies in order, but below we run down how to watch the MCU in chronological and release date order. Indeed, some films like “Captain Marvel” and “Captain America: The First Avenger” are full-on prequels...

Not everyone is a fan of football. While Super Bowl Lix is also about commercials and the Halftime Show, you may want something else to watch tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 9.
There are no new episodes of top broadcast shows tomorrow. That’s why we won’t have a “what’s on TV tonight” post. However, this is a good time to catch up on some shows and to see how others ended. We have five great broadcast shows to spend the night watching.
Watch the three-part One Chicago crossover event
There isn’t a lot of time to work through a new series. So, if you just want an event, then you’ll want to turn to the most recent One Chicago crossover event. The three episodes are more like a big movie, and you don’t need to know too much about the various characters to get into the storylines.

At a time when teenagers were mostly confined to the sidekick shtick, things changed dramatically after Spider-Man’s debut, which allowed young readers to relate with Parker, and Peter’s clumsiness set him apart from his peers. Even though the Sam Raimi movies weren’t completely faithful to the comics, the films did nail the clumsy aspect of Peter’s life.
The MCU also did a good job in this department, which was elevated by the fact that they brought in an age-appropriate actor for the gig. Moreover, Tom Holland’s demeanor on his first screen test with Rdj was very much indistinguishable from that of Peter.

The 911: Lone Star series finale made sure everyone got their happy ending, but we certainly were missing one face in particular. Almost immediately, the episode opened with the events of an emergency alert discussing an upcoming asteroid strike. However, the alert sent him back to the control room in order to prevent a possible nuclear reaction.
Unfortunately, he slipped on a piece of wet floor and he was critically injured just as the asteroid hit. While everyone survived the asteroid strike and the aftermath of a vicious shockwave, they were unable...

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers from Monday’s series finale of Fox’s “9-1-1: Lone Star,” titled “Homecoming.”
After five seasons of life-saving, it’s time to thank the 126 for their service and say goodbye to “9-1-1: Lone Star.” On the series finale episode of the Ryan Murphy-created Fox first-responder drama, a spinoff of the series “9-1-1” (which now airs on ABC), Owen Strand (Rob Lowe) saves the day — and all of Austin, Texas — by deactivating a nuclear reactor that’s been set off by an asteroid collision.
It’s the big bang ending that “9-1-1” franchise fans expected from a show that prides itself on its increasingly wild emergencies, and a heart-wrenching one until it’s final moments. Following a brief fake-out, it’s revealed Owen survived his injuries sustained during the emergency, and has left the 126 to return to New York. The station mourns the loss...

Spoiler Alert: This post contains details about Monday’s series finale of 9-1-1: Lone Star.
With 9-1-1: Lone Star answering its final call Monday, the series finale was a particularly emotional ride-along for star Gina Torres.
Sitting down with showrunner Rashad Raisani, the actress behind Station 126 paramedic’s Captain Tommy Vega told Deadline it’s “so rare” to be part of such a talented TV ensemble cast, as they both mourned the end of the spinoff after five seasons.
“I think it was right on the money for Tommy,” said Torres of her character’s farewell. “None of that surprised me. When I read it, I thought, ‘Yeah, of course, she’s a soldier.’ She’s gonna go out the way. She came in fighting and doing what she can. That’s what first responders do.”

It’s the end of an era for Fox. On Feb. 3, the network that first introduced audiences to the 911 franchise will bid farewell to the franchise, possibly for good, as 911: Lone Star signs off the air following a five-season run on Fox.
After five amazing seasons and over 70 episodes, 911: Lone Star comes to an end on Feb. 3 with the final episode of its current fifth season, “Homecoming.” The finale brings about the end of our time with Austin’s 126, where we’ve spent the last several years watching the men and women of the 126 protecting and serving the Austin community.
The good news is that 911: Lone Star is one of the lucky few shows that was given time to naturally bring its storylines to a close with a planned series finale; however, that doesn’t make it any easier to bid farewell to the 126 team – especially...

Beyoncé is the most honored artist of all time at the Grammy Awards. In 2023, she set that record, which had previously been held by conductor Georg Solti, when she prevailed four times for her dance album Renaissance. In 2025, she extended that record with her country collection Cowboy Carter.

You thought 9-1-1: Lone Star was just going to end with an asteroid threatening Austin? That would be too easy! As TV Insider’s exclusive sneak peek of the February 3 series finale, “Homecoming,” shows, that’s just one emergency the 126 will be dealing with as the show wraps up. In the aftermath of the asteroid crash in Austin, an even greater threat looms — and as our clip shows, it’s that the 126 needs to shut down a nuclear reactor. Owen (Rob Lowe) has Marjan (Natacha Karam) put a hose on a fire that’s broken out. That’s not enough, but the firefighters are soon able to keep moving — and they’re racing the clock with the cooling tank about to blow. But just as the 126 reaches the room, the cooling tank ruptures and the explosion throws everyone back! Watch the full clip above for more, including how...

Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man makes good use of some relatively obscure characters from Peter Parker's corner of the Marvel Universe...and beyond. For example, The Runaways' Nico Minoru becomes a key supporting player in the web-slinger's life as his new best friend.
In an interview with ComicBook.com, showrunner Jeff Trammell revealed that Nico's role in the Marvel Animation series very nearly went to a de-aged Jessica Jones!
"What can I say? There was another character that we considered," the writer started. "I don’t know if I can say. Well, I’ll say first that, yes, as we knew we were going to do something different. It was kind of like, for this story we want to tell, we need certain characters to fit these roles. And for me, I love Nico. I love Runaways."

Callum Woodhouse returns as Tristan in this week’s episode of All Creatures Great and Small Season 5. The season’s third episode, fittingly titled “Homecoming,” will see Tristan return from his station in the war to reunite with brother Siegfried (Samuel West), who spent Episode 2 squabbling with Mr. Bosworth (Ted Lasso‘s Jeremy Swift) over his methods of managing the town blackout drills as a warden. Housekeeper Mrs. Hall (Anna Madeley) works with Mr. Bosworth in these efforts, and his uptight personality ruffles some feathers along the way. But a veterinary emergency led to Siegfried and Bosworth having a moment of connection. Woodhouse will be a welcome sight when he comes back after a whole season away. The actor’s sabbatical was made possible by having Tristan join the war effort as Royal Army Veterinary Corps. He’s been stationed in Cairo, but now he’s coming back to Darrowby...

From Uncharted to Cherry, Tom Holland has a diverse roster of filmography. As an esteemed actor, he has worked on several films and theatre productions. This also ties well with his awards and accolades highlighting his excellence.
With a career spanning over two decades, he has grown as a versatile actor in the industry. While most fans associate him with his role as the beloved Peter Parker, he achieved several iconic feats before that.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe is notorious for its difficulty in balancing comedic and serious tones, often whiplashing from one emotional beat to another with violent speed. The films of the MCU are well-known for their quippy sense of humor, which has often been criticized as a crutch the franchise uses to maintain mass appeal at the expense of earnestness. Though serious scenes being interrupted by comedy is a far more frequent problem in the MCU, the reverse can be true almost as often.
In many cases, a lighthearted or comedic beat in the franchise will be suddenly interrupted by the sudden development of a very serious plotline. This is often the fault of the films' editing style, which can result in haphazard cuts that abruptly shift more humorous scenes into far more dramatic moments with little warning. In other cases, the tone will slingshot from funny to heavy over the...

A potential villain from Sam Raimi’s cut Spider-Man 4 could’ve made Spider-Man: Homecoming even better. Spider-Man is a Marvel hero that has been notoriously rebooted several times, but Tom Holland’s MCU iteration seems to be the one that will stay. Before him, Tobey Maguire’s Peter Parker was the character that started it all, and director Raimi garnered a lot of success with his initial Spider-Man trilogy. Though his Spider-Man 4 film ultimately didn’t happen, it’s interesting to know what direction he would’ve taken.
According to Sean O'Connell’s book With Great Power, the proposed villain for Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 was Adrian Toomes’ Vulture. It’s interesting how that was the alleged direction for the trilogy sequel, considering that the Vulture is the villain that Marvel ultimately went with for Spider-Man’s MCU debut. It’s nice to think of Spider-Man: Homecoming...

Severance is one of those shows that brings a great mixture of life and sci-fi. The second season premiered on Friday, Jan. 17 on Apple TV+, and you’ll want more shows just like it afterward.
The series follows a group of people who work for a mysterious tech company. To work there, they have to go through a procedure that allows them to separate their work memories from their life memories. There are all sorts of themes going on, including corporate overreach and discussions of free will.
Severance is one of those shows that leaves you feeling a little icky but also completely engrossed in each of the storylines. There are plenty of shows like that out there, and here are five that you need to watch as well.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer's Charisma Carpenter rejects a revived fan theory, asking for an explanation. Though she'll be known to generations of fans for Cordelia's growth and evolution on the spinoff Angel, it is less appreciated that Cordelia was a part of what's often thought of as Buffy's best era. It's in those first three seasons, those high school years, that Cordelia is positioned alternatively as the frenemy and shadow self of Sarah Michelle Gellar's Buffy Summers.
While responding to comments on TikTok, Carpenter sounded doubtful about a fan's idea that Cordy was a better friend to Buffy than her Scooby Gang, likely meaning Willow, Xander, and Giles. In the quote below, Carpenter refers to the idea as an “unpopular take” and asks commenters to provide evidence of Cordy being a good friend to Buffy. The quote is below:
Oh, this is such an unpopular take. This is gonna cause some controversy.

The photographic excellence of The Brutalist, A Complete Unknown, Conclave, Maria, Dune: Part Two, Nosferatu, and Wicked were cited in the marquee Theatrical Feature Film category as the American Society of Cinematographers announced nominees Thursday morning for the 39th Annual ASC Awards. The ASC Awards span features, documentaries, television, and music videos among its seven categories, with these nominations delayed a week due to the Los Angeles wildfire crisis.
This feature lineup is packed with awards season favorites, including cinematographers Lol Crawley for The Brutalist, Greig Fraser for Dune: Part Two, and Jarin Blaschke for Nosferatu. The ASC winner has claimed that year’s Oscar 18 times in 38 years, or a smidgen less than half the time.

There's a version of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man set in the MCU that could have finally explored Peter Parker's origin story and his time in the homemade red and blue costume featured in Homecoming and Far From Home.
Unfortunately, it seems that idea was scrapped relatively soon into what was then Spider-Man: Freshman Year's development. Instead, we're getting a story in another reality where the hero never went to Midtown High and, in place of Tony Stark, Norman Osborn became his mentor.
Talking to Animation Magazine, Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man showrunner Jeff Trammell further explained why the events of this series don't play out on the Sacred Timeline.

"Severance" Season 2 can't come soon enough. Fans of Dan Erickson's visually and psychologically arresting science fiction drama have had to wait nearly four years to learn the fates of Lumen Industries employees Mark (Adam Scott), Helly (Britt Lower), Dylan (Zack Cherry), and Irving (John Turturro), all of whom had their lives and livelihoods put in jeopardy as a consequence of Season 1's cliffhanger finale.
For the uninitiated, the Apple TV+ series explores a not-too-distant future in which a corporation can sever or bifurcate a person's mind so that they essentially have two sets of separate memories -- one as the person they are in their personal life, and another as the person they are when they come to work. This essentially creates two separate people who share one body, one of whom spends the entirety of their life working a mind-numbing office job.

It’s been over 10 years since Zendaya appeared on Dancing With the Stars, but losing the season still seems to sting.
The award-nominated actress appeared in Season 16 of the popular dance competition show, with professional dancer Valentin Chmerkovskiy helping her reach the finals.

The finale revealed that country singer Kellie Pickler and pro dancer Derek Hough were the best of the group.
