It is still the only Singapore TV drama series to deal with a gambling theme, long before the eventual inclusion of two integrated resorts with a casino included in both respectively.
The first season of 'The Unbeatables' was the first-ever recipient of "The Most Popular Drama" (which has since been renamed as "Best Drama Serial") at the inaugural 1994 Star Awards, honouring the best of Mandarin television productions from Mediacorp in Singapore annually.
